I just played Warriors (me) vs. Lakers with 10 minute quarters...amazingly 10 minute quarters isn't enough to get the stats right...Lakers won 89-80...very realistic game once again...I battled back to tie it with 4 minutes to go but then Kobe took over...what's crazy is they were focusing on hammering it inside with Gasol and Bynum (as they should given the W's small lineup) but as soon as I tied it up Kobe just turned the switch on...it's incredible how realistically the game played out...and all the Laker starters were back in for the last 5 minutes...

Both teams shot around 46-47% and both were around 33% on 3's...

The only sliders I touched were the foul sliders (put them around 70%) and fatigue (70% of full) and I ended up with 2 guys with 4 fouls...I had 10 blocks to their 4...everything else was pretty much on the money (extended out to 12 minute quarters)...

So for next game I will play 12 minute quarters, bump up fouls some more, and lower blocks for "user" (there is a slider for that, right?)...I'm still amazed how good my games have been without touching 99% of the sliders...

Just had my first really annoying game. Was playing the Celtics vs the Bulls, and after building a huge lead my whole team just started clanking every shot. I took time outs to try and stop the momentum, made sure I was running a good offense, but I kept missing open/semi-open shots with guys like Wallace, Allen, and Pierce.

At one point I was running the break, passed the ball to Perkins under the basket, and he proceeds to jump away from the hoop and throw the ball behind his head! Meanwhile, the Bulls were nailing stuff over double teams, runners, and getting offensive rebounds like you wouldn't believe.

End result, I squandered a 15 point lead to lose by 5 and I really think there was absolutely nothing I could do. I went from on fire to stone cold in a heartbeat. Seemed pretty shady.

Although EA has said there is no "comeback code", I still think there is still a "law of averages"...for example, if your team shoots 60% in the first half but you average 46%, the game may try to get you down around that 46% mark (not exactly of course)...in reality a team could be hot the whole night and finish at 55%...it may be different with video games...

Whats going on my O.S. family,hopefully you guys are enjoying the game,question though. I heard this from a couple of people but would like to ask the community,is it true that theres no injuries in the game,I mean those bad injuries that require you to miss the entire game?

I'm getting killed and need some help.

I'm playng again now, trying to figure some stuff out

What do I need to do in order to stop commiting 20 turnovers a game and shoot over 40%?

There's a couple of things I do not understand.

I thought initially the post game was the same as 09 but now I'm not so sure..I dont know how to perform a drop step in the direction I want to go.

I dont get the pick and roll at all. I cannot get a solid screen to b set, nor can I get the roll/fade man to do anything.


I discovered direct pass/drect off ball control..so im going to try that to help free up some shots..my offense goes through stretches of jus rancid play, even though I believe I am taking good shots, and using my plays.

Suggestions welcome!

Have only played a couple of hours with the game. Like the menus. Within minutes, I had my perfect camera angle. I forgot Live also includes customizable cameras. Good lookin' on that, EA!

The first few games I played were Celtics (me) vs. Heat, Pro setting. I tried to cheese at first, and was quickly brought back to reality. Was able to consistently win against the Heat. But, not by a large margin.
I switched to All-Star. I got more competition, and it seems like the better challenge.

At one point, I was swinging the ball around the perimeter so much, I though I was watching a NCAA b-ball game. The defense was recovering kind of quick, and I had to keep passing, looking for the open man. I was loving it!!!! I had to stop, and get up for a minute. I couldn't believe what was happening.
I like the automatic hustle animations. Just get close to the ball going out of bounds, and voila! Oh, hustle, where have you been all my life?!
The D feels goooood. I feels like the devs focused the most on D, almost. Just get a hand up, and the shot is not going in. Which brings me to shooting....
The shooting is awesome! I tried to play a few quick minutes this morning. Ya know, throw up some shots, and get a quick thrill. No way. I was the Hornets vs. Warriors. I must've missed at least my first 15 shots. The sig shooting had me ice cold. Not to mention, I was rushing shots, anyway. I realized the shooting in this game is serious. I have never seen so many bricks in my life. Shooting in Live used to be so easy. What happened?! Again, I loved every minute of it!!! I just turned it off, in disgust, and pure happiness.
Quick question: What's with asking for a manual post button? I'm not against it. But, I think the automatic play in this game works well, and makes sense. But, if it opens up more options offensively, I'm all for it. I like the momentum physics in this game, too. Alot.
I get confused with the Freestyle Passing. I need more time with this. But, Player Lock will help me greatly. I'm not good controlling everyone.
I saw some good fastbreak logic!
So far, it's awesome how good this game plays out of the box. I don't feel the need to adjust anything! I brought the Game Speed down 2 notches, but that's it.

So far, my major gripes are with the lack of control. It seems like we have the starter kit of manual-controlled dribble moves. Everything else is done via Size-Up button. I'd like to be able to manually go behind the back. And, unless I'm missing something, not being able to pass out of shot, feels very weird.
At least alley-oops are receiveable this year.
I did see 2 nasty morphs. D-Wade went right through a player to complete his dunk. And CP3 no-looked a pass the ball through a guy's crotch. It was a good looking no-look pass, though.
Yes, some of the methods used, to force a sim-style game, seem cheap at times. But, I love the game! Because it seems like the more I play the game sim-style, the more sim-style the game plays. The A.I. owns in this game! What more could a sim baller, and NBA fan ask for?!

Happening again!!! Having a competitive game with the Hornets, and now my guys are missing WIDE OPEN shots. Garnett from 10 feet....CLANK! Wallace wide open 3.....CLANK!!

people having trouble with making shots at times, I was having the same problem, and I think it has to do with shot releases. I was releasing the shot button tto early, resulting in many misses. Then, I started to hold the button for a little longer then I though would be necessary based on the animation, and now it is back to realistic levels.

Yeah, I'm pissed off right now. I'm watching the other team hit turnaround jumpers with a hand in their face and Ray Allen is clanking wide open mid range shots. Ugh!

It's just frustrating to work hard to get open shots, miss them, and then watch the cpu swishing crap looks.

Has anyone noticed a problem with the Player Matchup screen?

I went into to change some matchups during a time out and when play started again nothing changed. Then I paused the game and made the same changes and nothing happened again.

I'm having a good ol' time online in Live.

Played three straight head to head ranked games. 3 straight victories.

My opponents are trying to do dumb stuff, and it's not working.

Meanwhile, on the other end, I'm running sets, taking what the defense gives me, and looking for good shots.

Feels good. Maybe the tables have been turned this year with Live 10?

I had another weird save issue where I set my lineup (swapped out 2 players from IR) but when the game started I did not have the players that I had taken off of the IR...
