Dunk Contest and 3pt Shootout have been removed this year. Rookie vs Sophomore and All-Star game still exist.

Exactly what kind of framerate problems are their with the PS3 version? Does it occur on the broadcast angle during gameplay? This does not sound good, as I was very close to making up my mind what NBA game to pick up.

Yes, it occurs during that. But it only seems to be noticably bad some games. The one EA rep on here said that they would look into it already. I wouldn't let this stray you away, as it isn't every game. It just seemed like when I really picked up the tempo some games, it would start getting choppy during some scenes.

I'm a big 2K guy - I don't think I've bought Live for 10 years or so. But, after playing the demo and reading a lot of the impressions from people I would consider "sim" gamers, I am leaning towards purchasing Live this year. 2K does so many things wonderfully, but I am absolutely blown away by the gameplay and atmosphere that Live is bringing to the table this year.

I was wondering, can anyone with the game give some of their impressions or thoughts on Dynasty Mode? 2K, especially this year, is pretty deep in this area. I know Live won't be as good when it comes to this, but is Dynasty Mode at least enough to keep you interested as the season/years go on? To me, gameplay superseeds anything else, so if Live has at least a decent Dynasty Mode, I will probably be converting this year.

This is the first time I have witnessed a game that really felt like it was truly realistic. You can just play your game and it will be sim because the game makes you play sim. You don’t have to make the game play sim.

I think you make some good points, overall. But, this statement by far stands out for many of us on OS, who crave ultra-sim in our sports games. It's hard to argue against any sports game that forces you to play sim-style, and make good decisions-ultimately teaching HOW to play more sim-style. Which is what any good sim sports game should always strive to do. I feel like I've just entered the NO CHEESE ZONE.

I've never seen this level of sim dedication in any other game, except maybe FNRD 4. Some would probaly point to Fifa, also. Madden seems to be lagging behind in this area, still. But, LIVE 10 is by far the most impressive, so far.

I think Peter Moore, and everyone else at EA is doing a great job, and I'm glad to see EA Sports gaming back at such a high level, in gaming, AND community interaction! Thanks! Your hard work is very, very appreciated.

I like the hanger.

I like how it will randomly place different NBA'ers in there.

I like Yoga.

I like how those NBA players suck, if I suck.
Makes me feel better about myself.

I need to feel better about myself. I am a Knicks fan.

But I like the randomness of it all.
One time its the superstars, another time the rookies, etc. etc.

No, you won't be hooping it up with the Scalabrines of the world in there, as they do not have a driveway hoop and backboard feature in there. Only true ballers make the Hanger.

Yes I have heard that some players look lighter in there but I think it has to do with the light coming in through the window and the lighting graphic thing or whatever that EA added.

I sat in the hanger motionless for 9 hours to see if it got darker out in the hanger so Nate Robinson's skin wouldnt look like whole wheat bread.
But, it didn't so we will live with it. {you better patch that EA!!! j/k.}
Rest assured, all is good once you enter the battlezone of the NBA digs, the MSGS and STAPLES Centers of the world.

I also, dig the muted music playing during the hanger session, so make it sound as if you are listening to it through the sound system.

By pushing down on the left stick and hitting X [ps3] you can switch between players to get a feel for them by using them in the mode.

Its a great learning tool. I would like them to have a bit more player chatter. Well there's none.


But its still neat.

overall its fun in the hanger.
its a nice place to visit, but I wouldnt wanna live there.

Just bought Live, I own 2k10 already. I just feels like somthing is missing from 2k, can't point my finger on it yet. I wanted Live from the begining, I will be back in here later with impressions.

Guys, about the PS3 framerate thing, we need people who DEFINITELY have it to say so and if you have the ps3 version (23) and don't have it, say so.

Don't want to blow this out of proportion if it isn't necessary. The minute we saw the framerate in the demo, it was confirmed that it wasn't in the final version by our engineers.

any reason for removing the all star weekend? i wasn't aware of it being taken out this year. kinda a bummer since my buddys and i went at it all the time in the contests...

It was showing it's age my man. We were getting data that no one was playing it (except you) so we want to come back and do it again really special and until we can do that, you won't see it.

How do you play other matchups around your league in Franchise Mode. Im the Knicks but I also want to play some random games around the league. I cant figure out how to Play other League games. Am I missing something?

I think another good thing to mention is what firmware you have on your PS3...I know the last couple of PS3 firmwares have caused framerate issues with other games so maybe there is a pattern here too...
