How do you play other matchups around your league in Franchise Mode. Im the Knicks but I also want to play some random games around the league. I cant figure out how to Play other League games. Am I missing something?

you can't in franchise this year man (something we're looking at for next -- I know you've heard that before )

You CAN do that in Dynamic Season though.

Guys, about the PS3 framerate thing, we need people who DEFINITELY have it to say so and if you have the ps3 version (23) and don't have it, say so.

Don't want to blow this out of proportion if it isn't necessary. The minute we saw the framerate in the demo, it was confirmed that it wasn't in the final version by our engineers.

I have had one game for sure where it cost me the win and frustrated me like crazy. I believe it was against the Pistons or Knicks on their home floor. There was one scene during the game that had so much stuttering that I actually chucked up a three with Shaq, because I thought he was somebody else (he missed the shot, BTW. LOL).

I just played another game today. Won 108-104, Cavs Vs. 76ers. No issues at all. I played SIM-style, and had a pretty smooth experience. The only time I had that major issue during one of the games was when I tried to speed up my offense at a couple points during the contest, and the FR dropped...BAD.

Out of the 8 or so games that I have played so far, 3 of them have been smooth, 3 have been been semi-smooth (occasional hiccups on inbounds under the hoop and some rebounding amimations), and 2 have been downright unbearable, with me quitting halfway through one game.

Again, if anybody experiences any framerate issues with the PS3 version, don't be hesitant to say something. stephensonmc and his crew will fix the issue if need be, and this game will be even better in the longrun. Thanks again, stephensonmc!

Thanks. That's pretty disappointing. I don't like simming dynasty games and I can't see myself playing a full 82 game season, especially with 10 or 12 minute quarters.

With that being said, I'm here at the Spurs open scrimage and can't help but to think that in all the videos I've seen of Live and 2K, Live does the best job of creating the most authentic NBA experience, from court spacing, player movements, arena sounds and shooting.

For people with the game, how are the cpu's minutes looking end of game? For example, in a 48 minute game Lebron should have around 40 minutes played, etc...are the minutes being distributed realistically?

ok i simmed a cavs dynasty for a bit and heres his numbers for minutes per game.

keep in mind this is for default fatigue settings.

30.4 mpg

so you will need to tweak.

Al Jeff leads in mpg in the league 38.9

12 minute quarters

UPDATE: i remembered i had foul frequency sliders bumped up pretty high so i defaulted those.

another month of simming.

LBJ: 30.3 mpg

Listen, I'm going to say WOW, was I stupid not to just buy LIVE. I own both games, and I'm not liking live more, but LOVING it more. I must tell you guys, I have been playing basketball games since the first Live and since 2k dropped 1O Years ago. I used to Love LIVE back in the day, and just been a fan of 2k for the last 9 years.

After playing LIVE today and playing 2k all day yesterday, I think Live's gameplay really slam dunks on 2k's gameplay. EA has done a great job this year bringing the fun back to basketball while keeping it true to a sim. I find shooting in 2k not responsive enough for my liking, LIVE is just so much more fluid in everything.. I will go on the record right now and say that LIVE gameplay for me just runs over 2k's gamplay. I never had so much shooting in LIVE, I just like the way it responds it's just feels right.

I also give the nod to LIVE for graphics and sound no doubt. Everything about live seems more authentic, I really mean this.

I was worried about LIVE dynasty mode and what not, but you know what, I'm looking way past that because the gameplay is just for real this year and I'm in BB heaven with LIVE this year.

I still have more impressions to come, but in a nut shell this is the game for me this and most likely the future, if live keeps this up they will dominate every year. Kudos to Steph and the team, you really made me happy with LIVE this year.

Great to hear these impressions from a 2K fan. If you happen to get into dynasty mode at all, I'd really love to hear how it is. I'm really thinking that I'm going to make the jump to Live this year.
