One more thing, it's wonderful hearing all these people saying how good Live plays out of the box. I'm usually not too big on messing with sliders, and I didn't get the impression that I'd need to in the demo. Damn this is gonna be a long couple of days.

I could not agree more.
I spend more time playing with sliders than playing the game itself so if I can play 12 minutes out the box and only up the fouls a bit that's extra gravy on my biscuit!
I want a sport game that runs off players attributes not sliders and with DNA I feel that's the perfect fit for me.
Teams play like themselves, players play like themselves, players change accessories and shoes automatically.....what more can you ask for?

I will say this. It is amazing how sim this game naturally is. Out of the damn BOX!

I will say this is the most engaging NBA game I've ever played. Ive had games play out so realistically its not even funny.

I want this game!

I've noticed some people talking about the fast breaks in this game. Just based on the demo I think they're pretty good. I get the ones where we get a steal near halfcourt and take off for the open dunk. I also have the ones where dudes are on my tail or I have to split some defenders to slam it home. I've noticed that sometimes your trailing man will pull off to the side instead of running with you towards the hoop, but it isn't a big problem for me.

Rebounds are also another issue that I've seen mentioned a lot. I absolutely LOVE the way that they attack the ball hard. I sometimes wish I was able to box out a little better, but I'm generally able to time my jumps pretty well and snag it coming off the rim. I also dig the way that they'll tip it up to themselves sometimes. I agree that this could probably be tweaked a bit in the next version, but I'm not really seeing why people are hung up on this. Maybe someone can enlighten me?

I was just playing the demo a few minutes ago and Fish stole the ball from me. I chased him down with Pietrus and threw the hell out of the ball from behind as he tried to lay it in. That was the first time I was able to hawk someone down on the break and it felt damn good lol.

Live 10 is going to be the best basketball SIM to date.
2k may look prettier, but when it comes down to playing the true game of basketball the way its supposed to be played, Live is taking the crown back.

This will be the 1st game in a long time where you can open up the box, play the game on superstar against the CPU and actually feel like your playing basketball!
no more dunkfests and paintballing by the CPU non stop untill you can spend 40 hours of trial n error on slider tweaking.

there will be some loyal 2k cats, swearing by there game(ive been an avid 2k player since 2k5) but when you take a look at live with an open mind, learn the controls, etc...youll see how truly sim the game is.

Mike Wang and co have something sick brewing here and Its getting my money over 2k this year.

Oh shiz... I'm guessing I need to get Live a lil earlier than I was going to. I plan on getting both games on both PS3 and 360!

A cap... you can choose from a few players sig shots and stuff.. I never thought to look for the stepback but im sure you can pull it off

If you do that I guarantee you that if you make any mistakes at all the CPU will make you pay for it, and its a high chance you'll get blown out.

It doesn't look like they're trying harder than any other mode, but its like the freaking playoffs... every possession counts, for real

23 is all star more difficult in the retail? it seemed a little too easy in the demo.

Can't recall but its perfect in the final. If you dont do things right you can easily lose your lead or get blown out... or lose by 2

Superstar man, you have to be almost flawless because the AI shows no mercy

ok thats great. i always played superstar in the demo cuz it felt more realistic but i guess ill just go with all star when i get a copy.

Rock, can you provide ANY specifics about CPU controlled fastbreaks in your time playing the game?

I think this 12min qtr. theory is based on the game being pretty much a halfcourt game of ball. Because, the AI rarely forces the tempo and seek fast break opportunities after made and missed shots like they should.

I haven't seen any 3 on 1 or 3 on 2 type fastbreak scenarios in ANY vids posted thus far and this was a HUGE flaw in 09.

12min qtrs. are great and all but, I think if the AI looked to fastbreak more, 12min would not be mandatory in order to get scores over 100.

I have no problems with Live's halfcourt game. It's damn near perfert but, it's not good enough to mask the lack of CPU fastbreaks over the long haul IMO.

Can you touch on your experiences with the CPU AI's fastbreak skills or lack there of?

Ive seen a couple 2 on 1 fast breaks but no 3-1. So Far

No Weems, but its still training camp so it don't matter till start of the season

lol I'm not sure how this works. So, if you dont buy the game new, how do you play games online without the rosters updated? Are you required to have the latest updates to play onlilne? Is there an updated roster that people without DNA can use?

Let me see If I can Find out, I know you can still play online tho
