I used to get hammered also inside but now I\'m MUCH more selective of what I\'m doing when going inside but I know that I have not come close to mastering the game. Can any of us say that? I think we have to get the game down extremely well to request certain things to be changed. All that being said early on I feel there could be more fouls also. lol. I just DO NOT want a dunkfest.
Good post right here!! No reason to start screaming that this or that happens too much....hell, the game just came out. I'm sure once everyone learns and masters a lot of the moves/shots, blocks will go down.

if I master the game even more....I will end up rejecting the lakers 15 times a game instead of the 8-10 times I do now on SIX minute quarters.

I play on all-star by the way.

You can drive the lane and get absolutely hammered by the CPU as they block you / you do the same to them...and even with fouls at max, there's often no call.

I think they did this to make it tough to drive to the hoop / make the game less of a dunk fest...but the penalty has been that there's Charles Oakley like contact from every player in the NBA now in the game when you drive
agreed C_V... WAY WAY too much contact when driving the lane.. and half the time it makes an ugly animation where your player who is already in the air will come down and jump again.. They need to fix that ASAP, it was also a problem in 09..

Blocks in General suck in this game.. you got guys blocking shots/dunks with their armpits...

So after editing all players block ratings to 0 and reducing each players vertical by 50 points (both via global edits...love this feature btw)....blocks are better than before. I am now averaging 3-5 blocks a game on 6 minute quarters and the cpu also averages around the same number.

Still is a bit high, but much better than 8-13 blocks a game on default player ratings.

sounds good..check to see if there is a reaction time edit.I haven't looked and Im not home right now but if you get a chance check that out and see if by reducing that it will do anything. Defenders just get up too fast to get the blocks thats the problem Maybe by cutting reaction time down and upping everthing else on D it will make for a more fluid type of game where you can get in the lane and get off a layup attempt without getting blocked
maaaaannnnn....what the hell did you say??
