Re: NBA Live 10 Rebounding not so good!
I've seen people complain about "No box-out button".
But the box-out is automatic in this game. No button needed.
When a shot goes up, just get into position in front of the defender and your guy will automatically box him out. No button needed.
Now, some people may not like that, may not like "auto" animations, and that's a fair comment.
I'm ok with it, though.
I think it's a fine line for the producers to contend with. At what point does the User control what happens on the court, and when do the stats (dna) control what happens?
I don't know what the answer is, maybe stephonsonmc or beluba can jump in here...Comment

I think rebounding is fine but its like joel said its not perfect, so sometimes you are going to miss opportunities. And the reasons can be as stupid as your player deciding not to jump or bigger ones like a player clips through another player.
So what you have to do is work hard on boxing out which is as easy as standing in front of player once a shot goes up. This way you can put yourself into position to have the least amount of BS happen to you.
If you don't box out its a crap shoot where anything can happen Lol. Such as Dwight getting outrebounding by Parker when it makes no sense or someone may get the ball through a suction catch.Comment

I cant stand rebounding in this game....only way I can deal with it is touching the sliders.....on the higher levels anyway....pro seems to have more logic behind it...Im ok with "not so good" as a classification.
Too much of this..

Re: NBA Live 10 Rebounding not so good!
Another tip for you is that when you know a shot is going up and you're trying to get position DO NOT JAM ON THE STICK. Make small subtle movements on that left stick because this game's momentum system is sensitive so you have to make up for that.
This isn't like other bball games where its okay to jam you have to make every movement precise and this concept holds everywhere on the court offense or defense.
You don't have much room for error here because if the offense gets that board and you aren't in position to defend it they got a layup plain and simple.Comment

A tip for people struggling to get rebounds,
Your player jumps when you release the rebound button, not when you first press it.
If you're finding your player is just sitting there watching others grab the board even though if feels like you're pressing the button.. pay attention to how you press it.
A quick tap will get your man off the ground quickly and you'll get a lot more rebounds on both ends. It took me a while to figure this out as I've been playing 2K for years where you can just hold the button down.
Once you get used to giving it a very quick tap you'll do a lot better.Comment

Re: NBA Live 10 Rebounding not so good!
The only problem i had was with guys elbows and heads being above the rim.
Solved that problem by reducing verticals down and now D.Howard can still get up while a guy like Big Z or Yao look very limited in jumping ability.
Game looks so much more realistic when the true leapers have an advantage over the little guys or non atheletic bigs in this game.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Re: NBA Live 10 Rebounding not so good!
Outside of stuff like 24th's video, its pretty serviceable when you the hang of the timing for boxing out and jumping for boards. Blocking & rebounding both felt pretty horrible to me at the onset, but now i'm not mad at either, except when they happen in situations suspiciously in favor of the CPU. Blocking needs to be toned down and rebounding needs to feel more open, but you'll get the hang of it.Comment

Re: NBA Live 10 Rebounding not so good!
i don't see a big problem w/ rebounding. the stuff that happens in 24th's video only happens maybe once or twice a game, but it's not enough really to bother me. other than the cpu getting a few more Off. Reb. than me, i don't see that rebounding is that bad.Comment

Re: NBA Live 10 Rebounding not so good!
As I stated in another thread, what I dislike about rebounding is if two or more defenders jump for a rebound, their jump is perfectly synchronized in therms of timing, angle, height and distance...looks unrealistic.
Plus, for the 3rd or 4th year running, there are too many flat-footed reboundsComment
