Another thing people need to realize is that you can do a lot off the dribble with just the left stick. I see a lot of dudes trying to be Hotsauce with the freestyle control and it doesn't work out too well most of the time.

Pappy, I have two questions for you:

1 - Please clarify what you mean about "a lot off the dribble with the left stick", do you mean as opposed to using turbo, and the right stick along with it?

2 - Who is that smokin hot chick in your avatar?

I probably should have written that a little better. All I was trying to say is that linking together a ton of moves isn't always necessary. I see a lot of guys do that online and end up committing more turnovers than they need to because of it. I get many open shots just by crossing over to the other hand and pulling up, or by changing my speed and moving in another direction.

The chick is Jazmine Cashmere. If you ever get a chance to see some of her...work... you'll understand why she's head of the class.

Lol wow I would have never thought that was her looks like a completely different chica.

And your right on the left stick thing changing pace and quick crossovers are usually the most effective way to get past a defender.

I never could get into the OBC. Having everyone just start standing there... kind of made it "meh" for me.

Then you're doing it wrong. For instance, pass to the post and cut from the weakside and have the post player pass it to the cutter. It's something that once you get used to using it, they might not even know you are using it other than the aggressiveness of your cuts. If you see someone has a lane or that the defense has shifted... make him cut and dunk it.

As for turbo... yuuuup. It even affects finishing inside. If you can't dunk it, using turbo will lower your percentage to make, seriously. Turbo is something to use coming up the court but not in the half court... I strip people all day who are trying to turbo drive. Plus if you go up with a contested shot using turbo it always does that same miss animation but if you use no turbo you can actually get through people without it catching on the animation.

They're patching player lock, but why are they patching OBC?

I use OBC more for getting players in the best position to score, especially on the fast break. I never use it for the whole possession, just for quick cuts, fades, or to get a post player into position.

No need to be a smart aleck. This is not about whether or not OTB is perfect. Since you don't use it that often, we're just informing you that there are situations where you can use it an the other players are still active.

So realistic too. I play HS bball and I never full out sprint unless I have a fastbreak or to close out hard or to close an open passing lane. It's all about change of pace, which is why the pressure you put on the left stick is so important.

Anyway, about the turbo thing, thanks for the tip, I'll definitely check it out tonight.

I'm a big fan of OBC, but I don't play online. I could see how that would get annoying as heck. It's not terribly unrealistic though, I mean, that IS the way the game is played.

What's unrealistic is the inability to effectively slow it down, I definitely agree there.
