i have a ps3 and am expecting to get the update later in the week. i really only play teamplay and live run bcuz i enjoy the team aspect of winning a game. compared to myself doing everything!

my question is for any1 who can answer it. in teamplay, after u enter a game, at the first dead ball ur starting lineup is switched to whoever the cpu wants in the game. then once a player gets tired or gets a couple of fouls, the cpu replaces them with who they want in. this is irritating bcuz in 09, u could play with the worst guy on the team for an entire game unless u fouled him out. now it seems like ur succeptible to who the cpu thinks should be in and at whatever position. this also hinders the online teamplay league that i run.

can anyone with an xbox verify whether this was fixed with the patch?

Czar, can u help me out on this?

Its so demoralizing to play great for 3 quarters only to get destroyed in the 4th.

I'm sort of in your boat, except it's: It's so demoralizing to play great for 1 quarter only to get destroyed in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

If you are on the fence about which NBA game to get then DO NOT come to the OS forums.

I could not decide which game to get. I read and read different reviews and decided to get 2k....but I felt like I was missing out so I traded it in for Live the day the patch came out.

Now all I see on here is mostly negative feedback about the game post-patch.

I have come to the conclusion that most gamers like to complain and expect perfection and this site is not for those trying to decide on which game to get.

The CPU shooting and offensive rebounds need to be tweaked for allstar difficulty. I played against the cavs and gibson shot 100% 4 of 4 3 pointers with 3 of them being contested. Mo williams shot 61% for 34 points...

Its like if you do not block their shot your body presence means nothing. Mind you the majority of this hot shooting was in the 4th quarter. I think there was a 9 - 0 run, then after a timeout another 10 - 4 run. The game played great for 3 quarters then with about 8 minutes left in the 4th the cavs erupted. I got beat by 20 points. I was using the celtics.

The offensive rebounding is not fair. The cpu rebounders are like dennis rodman compared to your players. Also im still noticing the cpu getting more foul calls. At one point every trip down was a foul for them while my team could not buy a basket or foul.

I was able to win some nail biters on allstar default difficulty but it was when i had an elite team vs an average team. As soon as i started to play the elite cpu teams the hot streaks were unbeatable.

Well, I would ask what arena were u playing in but at the same time, I just think that Live 10 tries to mimick those moments when teams just get hot and whoop your hindport, especially against a great team. I've had moments like that and if you let your frustration get to you, it can take u out of your game, as well, but usually, now that I have so much confidence in my ability in playing the game, runs don't hurt me much, anymore. I stay focused and go for more easy plays to run and utilize my good players, more. And this is pre-patch since we PS3ers are still waiting for the patch. But I do understand where you're coming from where nothing is going your way. It's only something that has made me better at playing Live. Freak the funk, my dude, don't let it freak you!! Lol...

You're exactly right marc68. For some reason, the internetz is an automatic exaggeration machine. (I'm guilty of it, too)

OMG!!! The patch ruined the gamE!!!! EA SUXX!!! Lazy EA!!!

Where in reality (imho), the imrpovements the patch brings are significant, and improve an already very good game. but like you said, people love to complain and expect perfection. Just look back 5 years ago and see how far we've come. And that goes for madden, too.

Always buy the one u prefer. All u can get from articles/videos...if u dont like that one..then try the other.

I'm perplexed by the patch...some decent improvements but the loss of ONLINE FATIGUE is pretty much a game killer for me. Not having fatigue is a huge detriment to simulation play.

Hmmm... I hope they will release a 2nd patch. I heard that the previous/first patch was made before/during the release of the game that's why they did overlook the fatigue issue online.

How come automatic subbing is still there for online ? How did this patch miss that ? I have put the subbing on auto and tried manual but automatic subbing is always happening by the AI.

Nah I don't agree, somethings are just out of your hands. I play very sim like and agree that offensive rebounds are geared towards the cpu.

Have you actually read what people have been saying though?

Live coming a long way brings me no comfort when a game ends w\o going into overtime when the score is tied....or when I dont get awarded my points after the other team goaltends me...

I dont think thats too much to ask for...or expecting perfection..

Yeah, that's a fair point, I don't need perfect, but I DO need the basics covered. I think it's a case of both things being true. They DID improve and fix a lot of things, BUT they (obviously) let something slip through thbe cracks. I truly hope they whip up a quick fix for the glaring issues.
