I tried the patch despite liking the game prepatch 1. I found the game just as enjoyable but also noticed it was harder to get open looks from the outside with my suns. Nash ended up scoring 33 for me in a dynamic season game of tonights real match v. the Magic. Have to get off the comp and to the game.
I did notice on pro, the FT numbers were skewed bigtime. Orlando shot 31-47 while I was 10-14.Comment

Not sure as of yet......
The game needed it without question before but right now i can't say if it does or not until i get the patch and give it a week's worth of games.
I don't want to blindly make a decision on the gameplay until i've seen what has changed with this 2nd patch.
From what i'm reading in this thread it appears they have done something right......so hopefully what i'm reading is true in regards to gameplay now......Comment

not sure if it's placebo effect or what, but it seems to me that the CPU AI is much better now. they will find the open man better, make correct passes in transition, and beat you back door if you cheat or aren't paying attention. it seems like the ratings are taking more precedence over the DNA. and i play 12 min quarters and have been for years. the AI just seems more sharp now, and less of that "it's in my DNA so i must force this shot now" type stuff. i'd still like to see the AI more aware of what you're doing defensively , like sagging off a great shooter will result in a shot, as it should. but this is a step in the right direction.Comment

Online Play is pretty solid. The money 3pt shot is definitely toned down...I'd still like to see a system where a player sorta gets in a rhythm that will determine how shots fall as opposed to allowing alot of these fools to jack up 30 Threes per game using 5 minute qtrs...I mean if you keep jackin three's a decent number will fall...I'd like to see shot selection and the way a shot is taken be a bit more important as opposed to allowing people to run around with Mo Williams and inch him behind the 3pt line and fire up a shot..and then it falls?
Again the patch fixed things because they are not as bad as before but you really gotta play on superstar to get the best Online resultsComment

That's what I was saying. Need to have cold streaks. Then they have to get some easy baskets, lay ups or free throws to get rhythm back. Honestly, they miss so many, but they always seem to hit the big ones and its annoying as hell lol. They cheese me and I'm playing wit the Nets right now. smhComment

I do believe I have read every post in this thread, but I didn't see this answered. Did the second patch fix while playing a DNA matchup and the game ends in a tie being able to play the overtime? Thanks.Comment

Wasn't that the goal tending glitch which caused the OT problems? That got fixed and so OT should work properly. I don't have the game but still keep tabs in here so I'm sorry if that's the wrong advice.Comment

Thanks Rudy and DJ. Glad that is fixed. I was playing the Bulls with the Celtics. Was down as much as 20 throughout the game but kept competin'. Finally got the game tied at 99. At the end of regulation, Albert announced the final score as 2 to zero. I wasn't too upset, I would have blown it in overtime.Comment

EDIT: Adding what the patch addresses:
-Addressed goaltending issue to ensure that when a goaltending foul is received while blocking a dunk that the correct points are allocated.
-Addressed an issue ensuring that Ranked Online match forced to have fatigue set on.
-Fine tuned 3 point % completion rates to reduce the likelihood of successes to more realistic values
-Addressed an Injury Removal issue, where adding inured players to the starting lineup and attempting to sub them off was unsuccessful.
With the three point issue, the team worked to make the three point percentage more realistic based on tuning the shot release, defender proximity, player skill and distance from the basket. This was a key issue that the community asked be addressed and the development team took the extra time to ensure that three point shooting is more realistic.Moderator
