Wow, Commentary Is Horrid!

I know that this is the first year of the new team, and to expect more in the future, but Mike Breens' sound is honestly, one of, if not the WORST Sports video game commentator! He does not even sound like himself. Complete robot voice. It is noticeable that he only recorded 1 way of saying each persons name. While Jackson catchphrases are enjoyable, this commentary will be worn out quicker than any game I can remember. (And with FIFA on the market, that is saying something). This was not done properly!

I agree.. Breen doesn't sound like himself. Jackson sounds more lifelike out of the 3.

I was hoping for a more conversational feel with the potential that comes with a 3-man team. But it was clear it was short generic sound bytes. And because they were reading it, Van Gundy didn't come through with his energy and franticness AT ALL. Mike Breen should have been asking the others questions and responses to get things feeling more natural and contextual. It was just plain bad.

The commentary wasn't great, but not bad either. I liked the presentation.

What makes this commentary trio so good is the funny banter, Van Gundy's quirkiness and how they aren't afraid to take hard line stances on certain topics.

Wouldnt call it horrid...but not as smooth as I expected. This is only judging from one video though. You just dont get that feeling they were in the same room.

I wasn't feeling the commentary. Maybe it wasn't the best sample.

I thought the commentary was pretty decent . Sometimes, dull is good . But, most of the time, its not .

Thats what i was trying to say it just feels like there making statements teh entire game like they aren't aware of each other..there are no conversations going on just statements being made

I thought the commentary was pretty decent . Sometimes, dull is good . But, most of the time, its not .

the commentary was boring and outdated they are still doing the lets get the commentators and have them record separately and then combine then later there was no flow to it, there were times were it was completely silent.

This is a bit off topic but i think the pa annoucer should be way louder than what is displayed in the video. 'Even when a visitor scores the pa annoucer should be boring but Loud!!. You got to hear ex. Amareeee Stoudimire for 2 the the asisst to Raymond Felton!

Wrong. At the early community event, they showed us some commentary where all three of them were talking back and forth, even interrupting each other. It was a funny outtake, so I am not sure if it will be in the game.

I'm sure this is true, though that's only small scenario, the rest of the commentary is VERY dry, very empty feeling to it. The audio in 2K11 is worlds apart from Elite this year.
