Re: NBA Elite 11 Demo Available For PS3, Later Today For 360, Post Impressions Here
I wanna let everyone know something about the graphics. If you force your PS3 to play every game in 1080p ( by disabling 720p and 1080i in the display settings ), this game will actually only run at 480p ( 720x480 ). It doesn't upscale like most other games, so if you have your PS3 configured like that, make sure to enable 720p cause that's the only way to see what the game actually looks like.Comment

As an ex Live player, I must say the demo release was great. Plenty of playable options. Elite is still too arcade like though. The controls are very different but with time I'm sure I could get use to them. I'll still be buying the "other" game again this year. :wink:Comment

Re: NBA Elite 11 Demo Available For PS3, Later Today For 360, Post Impressions Here
OK, I replied to the first one already.
Any post that says something along the lines of "the graphics suck, Live 06 looked better", there's not much I can say to that. I suppose that graphic quality is somewhat subjective, but Elite is in no way worse than Live 10.
We made massive changes to the gameplay, but the rendering got incremental improvements over last year. There's just no way it could look worse.
But to each their own.
As for the people who don't like the controls, all I can say is give it some time.
I'll say this only to illustrate a point, not to get into any kind of argument (ie I will not respond to anything 2K related after this post).
I tried the 2K demo today, and lost my first quarter quarter 15 - 0. I have the Elite controls so ingrained in my head that I found the game almost impossible to play at first.
Then I realized that many, if not all of you, would feel the same way when you tried the Elite demo. Simply because the roles are reversed.
I'm not on here saying the 2K demo sucked because of my experience in that first quarter, so I can only hope the 2K fans trying out our game for the first time give us the same respect.
Hopefully the practice mode helps, but unfortunately it looks like there is going to have to be at least some desire to learn it in order to enjoy it.
As for the comments about the animation quality, we've gone over that quite a bit in the video threads.
If there are specific questions that people want answers to above and beyond what was discussed in those threads I'm happy to have the discussion.Comment

LMAO. Yes because we need 50gb of space to create a game engine. I apologize to you sir.Comment

I know. I hope people read my post about that cause the first time I ran the demo, it was in 480p and I was like.. whoa.. you have to have 720p enabled in your PS3's display settings for the game to look like it was intended. I'm just sayin'.Comment

Re: NBA Elite 11 Demo Available For PS3, Later Today For 360, Post Impressions Here
I will compile a list of all the constructive feedback we receive and repost it here nicely formatted.
We'll then go off as a team and decide what is a candidate for a patch and what is a candidate for next year.
We'll then post our intentions once we have decided what to tackle.
Don't worry, I'm not discouraged at all.Comment
