with it being no speed burst how in the world do i make my player speed up.

I will get rondo the ball at the top of the key and try and take fisher off the dribble or call a pick and when i try and go around it or move rondo jogs

I was also running down court with rondo and gasol was running side by side with me

And that was the number one thing that needed to be fixed.

Go back and try Live after you've played the Elite demo long enough to get a good feel for it. That should give you an idea of what we changed.

The controls are "meh" -- and albeit an attempt to be revolutionary, what really happened is you guys shot yourself in both feet with shotguns.

Sales will dictate how bad of a move this will be. Don't think just because we're sim gamers here we don't in some way represent what casual gamers are going to say and do. The single biggest move that EA did was make the graphics aweful and casusal gamers will not stand for that. Returns and word of mouth will destroy sales. Maybe the EA hype machine can overmarket this game and trick a few, but eventually it's going to catch up.

Shame on you EA.

Downloaded the demo and as seveal have said big disappointment.controls not user friendly.not a sim game more a skill game based on you mastering the controls.again I will pass on EA basketball this year

I agree. I just played Live 10 again and my goodness it has super smooth animations, silk controls, the two man animations looked great AND did NOT feel uncontrollable or 'sucked' in type moves and basically makes Elite look and feel like a Live 2006 or 2007 quality game. If that.

Seriously, Live 10 was a great game. Elite (based on the demo) is a heap of crap.

yea the speed burst thing has been my biggest problem. I was playing with bos and i was winning. I pass the ball to nate and he was ran down by fisher who was trying to foul him

for everyone that says it looks so easy to get to the basket from the videos, um that is definitely not the case unless you are playing a user with bad on ball defense.

one more question. how do you dunk if you are right under the basket with the ball

Well one thing i do like and i can see alot of people complaining about is the graphics (360). It seems they FINALLY got rid of the hunchback players which has been a main gripe of mine for years.

On the other hand the lack of a turbo / speed button im not diggin at all. This game will definitely take some time to get used to and hopefully it wont put me off from it. its definitely going to be hard to play 2 basketball games this year because of the different control schemes on each.

I still like the direction they are heading game feels different from 10 which i hated

damn.........

cpu post up is still broken, cpu still shots ugly shots on post ups because they cant back down effectively, everything is warping, rash and ugly.

fisher was doing a jab step, rondo took the charge but he fell like he had been leveled by a 2 ton person.

everything in the physics just feels forced just to express physics.

i did like that you cant just dribble infront of A defenders face blatantaly they reach in,... CPU kobe tried an array of moved to free himself up( however kobe never displays handle like that EVER)...

I agree with you that EA shouldn't have gone in this direction until they were ready to add more polish than what we see in the demo, but when you look at it 2k incorporated many of the elements that Live did better.

If you want an upgraded Live 10 you've got it....NBA 2k11. I can understand why EA wanted to provide something unique. There are many times animations can get you frustrated in 2k no matter how beautiful the game looks. Elite is now that alternative.

I can't comment on the demo too much I only got a glimpse this morning before I had to leave it.

So far I'm not a fan of the controls but I'm going to keep "practicing."

I have this real fear of the shooting being way too easy. I hit almost everything I have thrown up so far after about 5 mins of practice. Difficulty setting change may help.

Hey I think it's cool you can go to OT in the demo. I let the Lakers hang in one game just to see.

Six Step or REanimator the late game AI seems a little off. When the computer is down under 1 min Fisher just seems to jack the first bad 3 he can get. On a coupel dead ball inbouds plays he caught and shot way to deep and way to quick for the time and score.

Downloaded and deleted within an hour...innovative control scheme though. I'm sure it will be a great game in 2013. I was a fan of Live 10 and now the only issue is...I gotta find out a way to get NBA Jam without buying Elite...
