I kind of wanted it off as well, but the timing of the free throws was just so different from what you practice in game that our focus tests found it too hard with it off.

We feel we were able to make it hard enough with it staying on, so we went with that approach.

Superstar difficulty + Away/Home Team(whichever team the CPU is) Auto Playcalling= much better CPU offense

I'm not mad at Elite. Is it as polished or refined as I'd like it? Not by a long shot, but I think EA is headed in the right direction, and I have faith in their vision due to their recent successes revamping other titles. And in all honesty, the demo really isn't that bad, it's just different and has a very steep learning curve. The animations and standard AI need work, but I really enjoy being in control of what I'm doing and when I'm doing it. The graphics aren't nearly as bad as people have put off. Visually, it's very comparable to it's competitor. The atmosphere and commentary are good, and the aesthetics are all there, it just needs work on the 5 on 5. I know people are sick of hearing this, but in a years time, and a ton of animations stuffed into the fold, I think EA will have something special.

My best game so far. Beginning to get more in tune with the controls.

you should move up to Super Star level man....

They don't miss as many easy shots as they (cpu) did in that video. Kobe is basically unstoppable once you learn the controls even half way LOL!

I crossed up Pierce in one game and Kobe hit some miracle shot in traffic that really shouldn't have resulted in a 3-pt play

I think inside shot slider needs to be lowered on human side or else there will be way too many and 1's

Haha, thats true. I will be moving up to Superstar next time, if it makes the cpu play smarter than I won't mind. How are you liking the game now Playmakers?

I'm really starting to have fun with this game. It still doesn't look pretty, but it is indeed fun. I still need to get in tune with the controls though.

Any devs know whether or not the jersey textures will be different once the final version drops. The textures look a little funky to me.

Also, anyone know which camera is best for the controls? It seems I do a lot better in one on one than I do in the actual game.

I'm really liking the demo more and more.....as everyone has said the game shines in multiplayer. I'm having a blast playing my nephew, and yes change the play calling to auto while playing the cpu it helps TONS. Now if I can get the post offense down

just won my first game! With the Celtics none the less. Felt like I earned every shot. lol

As I said, this game is far from perfect. Very flawed, but it is indeed fun and innovative. If EA irons out all the kinks, adds some animations and makes the product all around more solid, I think they'll have something special here. Still trying to decide is I'm purchasing this years title though. Depends on if the final version is "tighter" than the demo version.

Lookin good - you need to cross over when you're going around the screen

PlayMakers is right about the shot percentages there - did you say that was on All-Star? Ray Allen had a midrange shot that should have gone down imo...I'll look into that.

Post game is deadly once you sort it out - just focus on mastering one move at a time. My fav combo: Drop step -> jab step -> fade away - if the drop step doesn't lose the defender, the jab step -> fade away almost always gives you room to get your shot off.

I haven't seen anyone using the offball controls - this year the ball carrier and offball players will react to you setting screens for them, so for example you can switch offball, set an offball screen, your teammate spots up, and direct pass to him (you'll stay offball switched), and then tell him to shoot by hitting up on the right stick. After you set a pick you can roll to the hoop by letting go of the left trigger and jacking your left stick at the hoop.

You and rEAnimator was right, this is the funnest b-ball game I ever played even with the problems it have. Unpredictable gameplay is where its at and I think the more time people spend with Elite they will understand where this series is headed.
