That's awesome, watching two people have fun with the game makes it all worthwhile.

Once you get better at protecting the ball there should be a lot fewer successful steals.

Yea I tend to expose the ball to the defense a lot and just about every time the person im playing get the steal. It still feel good knowing that its my fault and I can get better at it.

I would love to hear what you think about the amount of Negative press and the impending bad sales. I'm sure you guys put your heart and soul into this game, and is getting destroyed before it even hits.

Did you see this coming? Are you happy with where the game is at? Do you think 2K is way ahead of you guys?

Wow, this thread was looking positive from pages 114 to 116 then it all went down hill again. And 23 just caps it off by posting a glitch video. SMH. Where's the veteran insight, you haven't posted an impression yet, but you post a glitch video. SMH....

Watch the video, and listen to someone who knows how to make a good basketball game. The departure of Mike from EA, was the beginning of the end for the series IMO.

I'll be honest, it's been both emotionally and physically draining.

Did you see this coming?

There were signs of it when the first reactions came back to the videos, but what I don't understand is why the reaction got so much stronger when the demo came out.

The game looks the same in the videos as it does in the demo, we've been pretty open and transparent about what we were doing, so the visuals shouldn't have been a surprise really.

The game plays awesome and the controls are extremely satisfying. When I tried the 2K demo and realized how foreign those controls were to me, I was able to put myself in the shoes of someone trying Elite for the first time and that's when I realized we may not win people over as quickly as I expected.

And that's now playing out, as people get used to it they are seeing what we see. But at the same time people who want something else out of the game aren't really getting a glimpse into that because they aren't giving it enough time. And why should they, if it's not their style of game?

Are you happy with where the game is at?

Yes.

It's definitely not received the level of polish that we'd have liked, and that's a result of how much we did in the limited time we have. But the core gameplay experience is a lot of fun, and the negative press cannot take away from that.

Even the harshest critics see the merit in the new controls. We're definitely onto something here.

We'll be putting more effort that usual into the patch(es) to try and make up for the lack of polish. Hopefully we can get some info to you guys on the details of that soon.

No, not at all.

They are definitely ahead in some areas, but I think we've surpassed them in others.

I think that gap can be overcome faster than the people who've already written off Elite would think.

Even though I'm enjoying elite. It's kind of disappointing that I'll have to start telling my friends again give it a year or two. They know I'll try Live/Elite every year so they always ask me where's it at. And we was so close with Live 10.

But I understand the new direction, and I like where you guys are going I just wish you guys would of figured this out (started) 3 years ago.

Because starting over again this late in the Current gen is kind of off putting. But, hey I'm enjoying Elite right now and that's all that matters right?

I haven't posted an impression? I think before and after this demo came out i've said enough... go check out my blog.. my feelings have not been hidden on this site.

You want me to repeat everything else you're reading? You want me to continue to pound on what is not realistic?

How about one of you supporters challenge my Live 10 video mix and make a better one since you think the controls are better for us.

I dont like much of anything about this game at all, graphics, gameplay, AI, footplanting or lack thereof..

What else do you need? Go read all of my posts, my convo with the devs.. I've said enough, look at my thread about physics and how Live 08 looks way better than this game in collisions. The stuff thrown around here about suction, well Live 08 didnt have suction in it and it, so whats so special about this game again?

I mean my goodness, 280lb PFs jumping from the ft line... taking off from almost the vert.. the changed controls when there was no real need for one.

Its not even worth me going on about. Someone needs to point out the issues but at this point it doesnt matter anyway. Decisions have been made about the game regardless of what long time fans thought or think now.

Man come on with that stuff.. we've had tons of conversation and no I havent seen the double jesus video on here so if someone posted it sorry because I havent seen it yet.

I dont have to bash the game, its being bashed everywhere you go. There isnt alot of positive to bring up anyway about what it is. .. but if you're interested in what I think of the demo personally for your own self then I think after all of the clips and talk its just as bad as those venice videos.

I think this demo is no different and telling guys to wait for the demo as if we were looking at something different was kind of dishonest. Its pretty much the same exact game IMO.. remember this isnt my first time touching NBA Elite.

Played the Live 10 demo again and it feels much more alive than this demo.. this one feels dead in comparison. Less vibrant and im not exactly sure why the main screen has to have an NBA Jam sticker on it. It just sends all the wrong signals about it being a sim but IMO this is not a sim.. but we already had that talk so I didnt feel the need to regurgitate that
