Re: CONFIRMED: NBA Elite 11 Delayed until 2011
Shocking news for sure but at least EA realized how bad Elite currently is. As others have said, not sure it makes much sense to push the game back five months. Scraping it and going for next October is probably the best move because this game is lacking in literally every department except for controls. Even if some things get improved for a March release, what's '12 going to look like six months after '11 drops? You looking at the Chair MAN!
Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.Comment

wow I thought It was April 1st when I saw this headline, great decision though. They should scrap releasing Elite 11 completely and work towards perfecting Elite 12Comment

Re: CONFIRMED: NBA Elite 11 Delayed until 2011
I'm greatly disappointed as I was really excited about Elite 11 releasing on Oct. 5th. That was going to be my NBA game this year. Man this sucks!!!
Can someone from EA confirm IF any copies were actually shipped to stores?
Also what are the odds that Elite 11 copies will end up on eBay and through other online avenues? That might be my only hope to get a hold of this game instead of waiting until March of next year or even next October.
This is a sad day for myself and others who were looking forward to Elite 11.
R.I.P. to the most innovative and fun NBA game in a long time!Comment

Re: CONFIRMED: NBA Elite 11 Delayed until 2011
How much is EA losing here?..I'm sure Elite went to press to be shipped later this week...that's a lot of copies to melt
I can't remember this ever happening to any sports game so close to release..curious to know how long REAnimator has known? Before or after demo?
I applaud them for doing this and for not holding Jam hostage in the process
Nothing apart from what you read in Peter Moore's blog has been decided yet. I've been in meetings all day discussing the possibilities.
One thing you can be sure of is that the community will be heavily involved, which shouldn't come as a surprise since the community feedback was one of the major driving factors in the decision.Comment

Seen this coming, too much negative feedback on the demo...."Elite 11 Delayed until 2011" hmmmm really not sure if this a smart move by EA....I hope tryna fix this game doesnt interfere with the development of Elite 12...Also, Since Elite 11 aint droppin until 2011 will the "Time Frame" change, does this mean NO more EA basketball games a year early (meaning Elite 12 coming out in 2012 instead of 2011) makes one think doesnt it!!!Comment

Keep in mind, this isn't the first time Electronic Arts has humbled themselves to a superior product. They canceled the first madden on ps1 because game day was light years ahead of it. Great decision EA!Comment

The entire dev team found out this morning. A bit of a shock as you might imagine.

i applaud EA for putting the customer first in this situation. The developers at EA have put a lot of energy into getting this game right, unfortunately they just didn't have enough time. This is ultimately a business decision. Poor reviews could have knocked EA completely out of contention as it regards video game basketball this year and for years to come. Here's to seeing a great game come out of all of thisComment
