you absolutely right jordan buzz is crazy. I wear jordan sneakers 80 percent of the time and thats why NBA Elite should of put Dwayne Wade Or Lebron James on cover if they wasnt gonna do Kobe Bryant.. Kevin Durant is good and all but this is competition. Who decision was it to but Kevin Durant to compete with the goat on a cover that right there was suicide..

Also keep elites shooting, thats pretty revolutionary... but i think a way yall can improve on it is if u shoot a PERFECT shot, it goes in 100% of the time (green), if u shoot a bad shot (red) you miss 100% of the time, but heres the addition you guys can add a GREY zone and if u shoot in there, its a dice roll based on player ratings for the specific shots.... that sounds like the greatest way to still be innovative, and keep the sim boys happy... i cannot possibly see how anyone cannot be happy with that... man i wish i would help ea out man... ea fanboy to the death

EA own basketball before ps3 & xbox 360 came out. Once those systems came out EA just didnt have that crown no more when it came to basketball games.. Why ncaa basketball 11? That decision there and name change of nba live had me scared about Ea when it came to basketball.

Good move by EA their reasons for it may not be completely motivated by the community but I know we played a large role. It seems like they are most likely going to release the game early 2011.

And that's fine to me because what this game needed was more polish. I don't see too many changes happening from now to whenever they happen to release it but I do see the game being a more polished product.

Its still not going to please everybody but the extra time should please those fans that still wanted to play it. And maybe get a few more to hop on board if it plays better then the demo.

Now all they need to is do something about that 60$ price tag....

I agree dont expect a totally new game but i believe it will be more polished when it does come out no matter what the reason for the delay. And now way i will pay 60 for whatever it is if it come out before july of next yr

Like I said earlier either they are lying(covering up for a bad product) or they have no idea what a good basketball game is supposed to be. There is no middle ground.

Good thing EA didn't go through with plans to ship Elite. I don't care what anyone says... you don't have to play the demo or waste your time... giving it a chance as I've read a million times already. I've been spending hundreds of dollars since basketball and video got married so you tend to know... if it walks like a duck... it's a duck and it was clear Elite was no spring chicken.

What got be scratching my head was the first couple of videos, I imdeiately noticed the weird player movement, shot mechanics, animations, player models, signature style etc. Not to mention the fact that everyone was told... "the demo is pretty much what we had to look forward too upon release". My eyes know if improvements have been made. Besides... you have to see it to execute it!

Elite just didn't seem to be where it should be for the year 2010 and not to mention what this was going to cost us... the consumers.

You've got to sell me more than just "controls" in this day and age.

That's a very good question. To bad we might not get an honest answer out of anyone but I'm sure... someone had to know Elite 11 was not happening.

When did they stop working on Elite 11 and when have they started working again? I imagine they have been working through on a patch.

Yes there was a few discussions floating around about patch work but who's to say it was just to keep us going.

I can't remember this ever happening to any sports game so close to release..curious to know how long REAnimator has known?Before or after demo?

This is a good idea. But I don't know how much "better" then can make the game at this point. So far it's a disaster. And for all the guys who were saying it wasn't, I think this pretty much proves it was not a game that was ready to satisfy the customer or compete with I'm not sure this will be enough to prevent the series from being canceled. Come to think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if they just cut their loses and scrap the series altogether.

Elite needs to be improved in so many ways, almost as if they were starting from scratch so instead... I bet they try weaving together... scripts and codes from Live 10 and Elite, sprinkles of older Live games with a hint of

I have to disagree that this is a good decision. A week before release and they pull the carpet out from everything. That's very odd to me. At what point did they decide this? Is it because of the bad vibe the demo got? Surely the developers didn't step in and say, this shouldn't be on store shelves after the game went gold etc.

The game may be delayed but this speaks volumes about the current state of EA NBA basketball. When in 2011 is the right time to ship this? I just don't know about this and honestly think we may not see an NBA Elite. Very odd. All the money poured into ads, print, shipping etc. and they pull the plug. There must be something wrong with this game beyond what we have seen.

Interesting move. You wait longer and expectations rise even more. 3 months isnt enough for much. They may as well be cancel it until elite 12. Even then, people will say, they had an "extra" year and the game is still just okay. It's nothing but catch up for the next 4 years at this pace

No man... this thing shouldn't have made it this far. A lot of people probably wouldn't have been banned for drawing what they felt was... "constructive criticism" over such a very bad demo which was said to be close to retail. They waited for the demo and passed judgement.

On one hand, I commend them for not stealing $60 from people for a game that's not ready.

On the other hand, they deserve all this negative attention because you had devs on here making it seem as if it was our fault the game wasn't enjoyable for us. That's horrible communication that blew up in their faces.

I agree and a lot of other old skool... community gamers such as myself should know whether or not a game is a bust or not without giving some new... controls a chance. I do know this... ever since that demo got released it's been like another nail in the coffin. And... who's to truly say whether Elite will be delayed until 2011. EA could be considering shutting down the shop since 4-6 months is not enough time to generate major improvements Elite will need to compete. Not to mention justifying a name change. There's just entirely too much ground to cover right now imho.

as far as the graphics go, was there a limitation with how well you could render the models because of the design of the game (rtp, etc) or was it just a new art direction?

Thats the next thing to Nba Elite has the potential to be an amazing game if they had enough time, dont just go back to live for the hell of it, however i think they should be fused in some sort of way

I disagree with the last post. Take the Elite 11 we saw and improve on it. The controls are a solid foundation.

That's the current plan, but the timeline has not been decided yet.

Will let you know when things get clearer.

but one thing what would of happen if the demo didnt come out till like couple days before release date.. or the week of release date and people would of cop this product.. This is pretty bad they had Nba Elite 11 party i believe last week and now 2day i read no game.. Why they playing with people like this?? All those people who like me been waiting for this game aka waiting for showdown on OCT 5.

Ahh, that option is already in Elite. It is even in the demo, you can switch to the classic button config instead of the Elite control scheme.
