So is EA going to release TWO basketball titles then for next year (this year's game and next year's around October)?

Re: I'm Sorry Everyone!
Technically he purchased stolen goods. The copy was supposed to be returned to EA because it was damaged but an employee at the distributor decided to sell the game instead of returning it. The copy technically wasnt the employee's copy to sell.Comment

Re: I'm Sorry Everyone!
So is there the potential that he would actually have to return his copy to EA?Comment

Re: I'm Sorry Everyone!
I'm not saying you stole it but the item was technically stolen. The distributor was either supposed to return the game to EA or destroy the copy since it was "damaged". They arent permitted to sell the game on Ebay for a huge profit or any profit at all. The distributor did not purchase the game from EA and sold it without their permission. No offense but the item was stolen.Comment

Re: I'm Sorry Everyone!
No offense, but it kind of seems like you are trying to rub this horrible game in EA's face. I think that's why they are taking offense. Maybe if you were going to highlight its finer points (not saying there are any...) they would have let you.
It's like getting your hands on a sex tape of some star and then sending it out all over the internet. They cancelled the game for a reason, and no doubt other people have the game and eventually some videos of it will emerge no matter what EA does... but to advertise that you are going to do this was probably the wrong way to go about it... considering that you actually wanted to get it done.

Re: I'm Sorry Everyone!
I doubt it because of the negative PR they would receive. EA would look horrible demanding that he return the game. Legally though they are within their rights to demand the game back or to pull any and all videos featuring the game from the net.Comment

Re: I'm Sorry Everyone!
This reminds me of the infamous "Iphone 4 left at a bar" story.
Apple scrambled like heck to take down any pics/vids of the new Iphone before it's official release after an employee left it behind at a bar or something like that.
EA is just doing what they think is right. Sorry, BB12, but the seller kinda goofed by making it available in the first place. No fault of yours, you bought the game outright.Comment

Re: I'm Sorry Everyone!
EA shouldn't be doing this. I mean, they made the game, and now they won't allow anybody to do as much as show it? I thought they were proud of NBA Elite? The way I see it, they should be playing the nice guy, so as to try and improve their damaged PR. If they were more cooperative, then maybe people would think "well, at least EA is being nice about it", as opposed to disliking EA even more.Comment

Re: I'm Sorry Everyone!
I agree. There is a reason they are losing tens of millions of dollars by not releasing this game. Because they dont want us to see how it is. You cant blame them for protecting there brand. You looking at the Chair MAN!
Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.Comment

Re: I'm Sorry Everyone!
If they demand the game back.........would EA reimburse bigball for what he paid or settle on a sum for him to return it? I do not know how this works legally since he did pay someone for this.
Go play the demo and that speaks enough volumes of how much of a step backwards they took from Live 10. Just a real shame.Comment
