I was just kidding about ea paying them off but I don't know how they can give these fabricated scores with no explanation. They don't say why they gave the score or what was wrong with it. They did the same thing with nfl2k4.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Re: Wierd but NBA Live 2004 Review

I would guess that all of the big company's send out copies of the game to reviewers before it's released. From what I've read in this very forum, the games are done weeks before we ever get to buy it (damn, damn, damn) so why is it so unbelievable that this guy has played a final (or close to) version of the game?

Funny how nobody seems to want to believe that Live may be better than 2K this year. When the 18 minute video of Live came out and everyone was slagging on it, they were posting that this was probably a finished (or very close) version of the game, that not much, if anything would change, etc.. Now everyone says there is no way some reviewer could have a finished version....

I'm going to keep an open mind and say that this review (of both games) makes me think that I'm at least going to give Live a serious look this year.

Did anyone else notice ID only got a 36 score from this site? (Rated below Shootout at 37).

                        BlueDevilsFan,
Dang bro, don't you know by now--if someone actually likes Live there will always be these 2k4 boys coming here to say something was wrong. They wanna hear "NBA Live 2004 totally sucks and you'd be wasting your money if you bought it, the graphics look horrible, and it's the worst basketball game ever made" on the other hand they wanna hear "ESPN 2k4 is the grand dddy of them all, if you know anything bout basketball you'll buy 2k4"

Personally, the review was very general but it's not far fetched that a reviewer actually likes the game (God forbid). It's on a ESPN gaming site too! I can't wait for both but one thing is for sure in my book, if nba 2k4 can match nfl2k4's presentation and nightly wrap ups--I'd be very impressed.

Don't you notice, it's the same guys that come to an NBA Live forum, and bash it. OS did us a favor by seperating the two and they still come here.

Both games will be solid, I'm actually playing espn nfl 2k4 more than madden right now--so I wouldn't be suprised if nba 2k4 will get some play in my x box at all this year. I just hope they fix the animation.

The main thing to note here is that all 3 reviews are bull****.

It says this at the bottom of the page : "Reviewer is not affiliated with ESPN Gamer or ESPN and its affiliates."

So can someone explain why they got a copy of ESPN Basketball before big sites like Gamespot and IGN ?

Even stranger is their failure to inform the reader of anything they didn't already know about each game. What about that stange momentum related bar that somehow relates to technical fouls in 2k4?.

How could they possibly review all 3 new basketball games when their latest news headline is "ESPN Basketball to feature ISOmotion".

A little too obvious I think.. hell they even gave NFL Game Day a higher score than ESPN NFL 2k4, so there you have it. How [censored you naughty boy] lame.. at least include some information or maybe some new screenshots as proof ?
