enjoyed 01,04,05
they ve been bad since for me, bottoming out in 07. they should have pulled the plug then and not released that pile of ....
if they could have let wang man have full control and followed him, they would be close to regaining #1 this fall. 2 more yrs of wang would have brought them way back, while 2k wouldnt have been as good due to no wangComment

Re: Are you still a Fan of the Live series?
Of course I am.NBA Live was THE game for me throughout most of my childhood, I still remember playing NBA Live games with my cousin for hours and having ridiculous amounts of fun. Now, I like to spend my money wisely and will not blindly purchase an NBA Live game if it's absolutely terrible, but as long as it's worth playing, EA can count on getting my money. I really enjoy having two good basketball games to play each year as opposed to just one.

Re: Are you still a Fan of the Live series?
My interest in playing basketball developed because of NBA Live 95. I've played the first ever NBA game/s by EA Sports since 1990. I thought EA was the best company to make basketball video games. But they suddenly lost to a competition in 2K Sports.
I supported and was a great fan of EA's games from 1990 - 2007. But I switched to playing 2K games in the middle of 2008, disappointed when EA never made NBA Live 09 for the PC. Although I played a bit of the first NBA 2K, it was the 2K9 issue that got me hyped for 2K hoop games. Up until now I still favor 2K over EA. I'm happy with 2K because they listen to fans, (even the wrong fans. Funny, but kidding aside.)
However, I do not want to withdraw my whole support for EA. I had no idea what happened to the company but it seemed like there was a major overhaul in the EA personnel. Where were those creative EA people who got me hooked to their games in the 90's era? I need them back with a new innovative concept about an NBA game. I still like EA NBA Live Basketball, when it's all said and done (I totally hate the ELITE idea!). It's the people working in it now that I dislike.
And to answer the thread question, Yes I'm STILL a fan of the Live Series.

Re: Are you still a Fan of the Live series?
I think you'll find ost of us older guys are fans. EA set the bar for hoops games in the 90's and was the only viable option back in those days. Anyone in there 30's should still get warm fuzzies just thinking about it.
Do I expect a good showing in 12? First year on games is usually weak and i expect the same from EA. We'll see. I hope I'm surprised.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Re: Are you still a Fan of the Live series?
nope, i did how ever like the crowd atmosphere, but I'm probably one of the few who disliked live 10 (it was/ is a joke IMO), personally I'm so far away from EA and their basketball games, I'm willing to try the new game when it comes out, but nope haven't been a fan of live ball since 05.Comment

Re: Are you still a Fan of the Live series?
As far as I'm concerned, EA doesn't do any sports games well anymore. Even Madden is pretty abysmal, but as long as they got monopoly on the license, it'll always sell good.
They managed to complete on the FIFA series for a while, but I think PES is back on top there too.Comment

Having played both 2012 demos, I have to say that this statement couldn't be further from the truth. PES is quite some distance behind FIFA.Comment
