I dont get it. Ok I got it. You're saying if the graphics were gods gift to man but played a crappy game. Oh ok. Thats a good one. Kinda has me off guard. I really dont know how to answer.

I would pick the DD that played Like Live but thats where my example comes in using HH. I even took HH back because the graphics were trash compared to todays standards. And I stuck with another baseball game despite it not playing as well. Close, but not as perfect as HHs gameplay. And to be honest, I wish I did'nt trade HH in, I'd probably still be playing it.

So it is no real easy way to answer it besides saying,the graphics lured me in therefore graphics took a major role in my purchase. Which was the point I was tryna make at first.

Using HH as an example, alot of ppl returned the DD that played like Live in return for a DD that looked like ESPN. So them saying graphics are not important are contradicting themselves by buying a game with lesser gameplay with great graphics instead of the ugly game with great gameplay.

And if you have a hard time understanding what I said, dont sweat it, I can hardly understand it myself.

I understand what you mean, and I am a self proclaimed Graphics Whore. However, my issue is not always about the outer looks but what the game has inside. If the game's engine and animations make up for the lack on spot detail of players its cool. I want to play on the TV like camera view so the faces don't matter as much. The models and accesories matter more. But if any other game can have solid "realistc" gameplay, great animations, and the best Graphics out there then I will get that game too. Its silly to say that Graphics don't matter at all because it all ties into presentation. Last year on Segas game they had braces on Randy Moss don't ask me how I found that out but that just adds to the presentation and realism. Why do people want authenic courts because it makes the game look better. Games like to use Closeups and replays to show off the beauty of their games but they have to make sure they hold up to what is expected.

I would love to enjoy Inside Drive like my other fellow gamers but the graphics and animations dissappoint me especially since it is a Microsoft only game and there is no lower end system to port from or to. SO as I play it I get frustrated with the lack of animations and then lose intrest and return back to the other games.

Thanks for the input. See we got a self admitted graphic whore. There's a little bit of that in everybody, they just dont wanna admit it. I came up with that question because it was a few posters in here who said graphics are'nt important. which in most cases they are. Nobody would buy Live if it had high heat graphics. And thats the point I was tryna make.

Look at Madden 2004 on the PS1 who in their right mind would buy that game over the PS2 version even it they both had the same features and dynasty/owner mode.

Exactly. I may be a closet graphic whore but I certainly dont complain about ugly graphics if the gameplay is tight. Like I said, I wish I kept HH because after all the dust settled over the other 4 basball titles, that one would of ended up being in my PS2 right now.

Its just that sometimes, graphics make you like a game more. An example would be Segas games. Thier presentation and graphics brings up the wow factor alot more than a mediocore graphics and better gamplay. You'll be able to stomach some of the gripes, flaws and nuiances for a beautiful game.

This is a pretty good image right here showcasing Live's graphics. I think it is a lot better than last year, but still not up to ESPN standards. But if this plays better, I can sacrifice the grahpics for better gameplay.
