For starters, here are some things that haven't been mentioned (or I haven't read) yet:
-New inbounding system. You actually control the RECEIVER and press pass to call for the pass, so in a way you are controlling both players. Genius.
-D-Pad buttons strategically switch your control to different receivers during inbounds. They are: best ballhandler, best FT shooter, best 3pt shooter, and closest man to far basket.
-There are so many different shot animations I won't list them here, but once you get near the basket there is a huge variety.
-All shots have 3 release point animations, to let you know when you have timed the shot properly or released too early/late. Brilliant. I have also noticed it is alot harder to time the release with bad shooters than good shooters.
-You can switch on and off player lock whenever you want without haveing to stop the game
-When controlling a non-ballcarrier on offense you have a bunch of new freestyle moves. You can shove off someone (down) and v-cut out for an open 3. If you get close enough and time it right the defender will stumble back. NICE.
-Best freestyle move I've found yet....when standing in place and dribbling do a cradle move (right if the ball is in your right hand) and it will square your guy up to the D. Then move your left stick in the opposite direction (left) and you will do a sweet change of direction. I often stand in place and just cradle the ball back and forth waiting to burn the d with this move.
That's about all I can think of for now. Feel free to add on to this list. I'll be back after another couple games.
