    Re: Defensive Tips Thread

I'm having trouble stopping fastbreaks...it seems as if the computer gets a 5 second head start on fast breaks and my players are too slow to catch up, and what results is two points.

Also the pre-determined defense animations are bugging me, I like to have total control of my players. I don't there's a way to stop the pre-determined animations but what are some tips on playing good defense with this preset defense?

            Re: Defensive Tips Thread

is there any way to switch defensive play calling. like i don't want to just be able to play half court M2M, full court M2M, double team, or 2-3 zone. i'd like to be able to use different types of schemes. this goes for offense as well. even though i don't really follow plays on offense.

how can i switch defensive plays?
            Teams:

            NFL - Packers & Browns
            MLB - Brewers & Twins
NCAA Football - Wisconsin, LSU, Virginia Tech
            Soccer - Arsenal, Wolverhampton
            NHL - Wild

I have yet to figure out how to do any of the intercepting animations that the cpu does on Defense. I have so far seem him stick his hand in the passing lane and catch the pass. I have seen the CPU tip the pass in the same manner. I have also seen guards jump and tip the pass as soon as I let it go. But nothing I do seem to duplicate these defensive animations.
While I am at it, can anyone tell me how to dive for loose balls on the PS2?

As for the double team animation, I am not sure if this works, but it seem like I have better results of free the ball if I continue to tap the right analog stick in the dirrection that the ball is. If the are struggling for it up high I keep tapping up and so on.
