By the time I'm done, I'm sure I won't want to play another season. At that point, I'll probably start over as a different team. Seriously, Dynasty mode in an NBA game is overrated IMO, unless you're one of those sim 60 games and play 20 types.

THAT is not the problem. I actually applaud EA for THAT.

The problem is, their overall system where fringe players are asking for a six-figure points per year. When every team is consistenly over the cap, you know something's wrong.

THAT is the thing that needs to be fixed in this system, and everything else will even itself out. I should be able to set it up so that if you manage your roster well and clear up cap room, you should be able to sign a big-name free agent in the offseason.

But unless you have Olumide Oyedeji, Emanual Davis, Mike Wilks, Priest Lauderdale and Oscar Torres as your starting lineup, you would not be able to do that while staying under your allotted point limit. You just can't.

So I give EA props for letting us get a look at the FAs and it's up to us to have discipline on whether or not we should get them, instead of having the CPU do the Martha Stewart on us and loading big name FAs on one team and having that team go 80-2 and sweep everyone in the playoffs.

last year 2k3 had the same problem. the computer would do rediculous trades. on my 2k3 francise ai got traded to the pacers and was #34. kobe was traded to the sonics then the rokets then the t'wolves....in the same season. KG wound up on the wizzards. the lakers traded shaq for mike bibby. this all happened in one year of franchise on 2k3. VC did not change this problem. their franchise is exactly like it was last year. it has none of the improvements of nfl 2k4 or nhl 2k4. such as the e-mail system. at leat in live the changes happen in the off season.
