No. You don't fly in this game.
You can, however, hit either button anywhere. If you try the dunk/layup button from the three point line, you will end up with a sorta underhand teardrop/rainbow shot.
That will usually clank.

First of all, I don't think the mods are a fan of anything with the word "sucks" (you probably don't give a damn about that)
Second, I could throw an underhand shot from 3-land and hit the rim or some part of the goal 9 times out of 10 (you probably don't give a damn about that EITHER)
Third, 3 yards is 9 feet, and if someone was to come up 3 yards short throwing it underhanded, people wouldn't CONSISTENTLY throw it 3 yards short of the goal.
