I bought both games on the same day and I played 2k4 first and I liked it. I then popped in Live and I was blown away. My mouth just dropped 
the movement was so real, and the graphics were EXCELLENT. I thought the in game graphics were twice as good as ESPN's. I clearly recognized every player. Granted ESPN's replay graphics are better but thats about it. Live gives the whole NBA experience and I can recognize everyone. When I went to edit players the faces were dead on and they had finally gotten rid of the tiny heads. To me the build of the Live players are more accurate because if you watch NBA and you are a basketball Fan, you know that the basketball players are built kind of thin and the player models in ESPN are all on steroids. For example there is this screen shot of Brent Barry dunkng and his arms are as big as Karl Malone. As for gameplay I don't need to even discuss because it beats out ID 2003 and every other simulation ever. It feels like an NBA game. This is the best Basketball Game EVER. I Love it. And I am having withdrawls because a I am not going to play it again till the start of the season.....Its a ritual I have, I give the game a try then start a season with my team when the season starts. Thank you guys for letting me in on how good Live is, I am truely proud of this game.

) but I am really loving Live this year. I can't believe how much they have improved over 2003 and the number of new animations they have added in is amazing. It's funny how little people complain here and how much people on the ESPN boards are complaining. Probably due to the fact that their expectations are WAY to high.
