I think NBA Live 13 will build off of NBA Live 10 I hope we will see fluid & realistic player movements & gameplay in the game.

EA needs to use motion capture tec instead of robotic animations. I saw picture of tony parker in a mocap suit with EA logo, lets hope he is actually helping them capture realistic player movement.

NBA Live 13 has to bring out a game that appeals to the simulation gamers & have elements that NBA 2K lacks in to succeed this year. Great online features would also play a factor for NBA Live 13. EA Sports need to be on top of their game the spotlight is on them this year.

Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

I had mentioned this before, but I can't help but get giddy over a new Live. I grew up on the series, I really want to see them come back with a vengeance.

That's the ball they used in 2006-07. And he was the cover athlete for Live 09. It's probably old.

Leave it to ESPN to pull a pic like that from the archives.

Main thing I like about 2K over EA Sports games is the ____ today feature, I like the updated commentary feel as well as those updated graphics. So playing in the middle of a month, then seeing real life stats/standings while playing exhibition mode, its real great.
SCEA would have to go multi-platform though...The MLB would not be ok with only having one console revenue stream and I doubt SCEA/Sony would give up one of the few exclusive advantages it has over 360 and make a version for the competetion.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

If EA Sports moves away from the arcade aspect & focuses on delivering a realistic simulation title then NBA Live 13 could be a great contender for NBA 2K13 this year. That NBA Live Advisory Council contest might help push NBA Live 13 in the direction that the fans want to see the NBA Live go. I wonder when EA Sports will announce the winners of the contest. NBA Live 13 really has to be solid this year after that NBA Elite game didn't live up to expections. EA Sports has to give it their all & listen to their fans if they want to gain consumer confidence back.

If the did what they should have friggen done to begin with.... Build on Live 10, it can compete and then some.

I think even if Live 13 is terrific, it will still initially suffer the consequences of the fan bases wrath, which will hurt it out of the gate.

The disgrace in all of this, is that they were really doing the right thing, from NBA Live 09, and NBA Live 10...but NOOOOOOOO.

                          Hopefully never again.
