    Team Ratings Not Accurate?

How can New Jersey be rated so low in this game? The Clippers are rated where New Jersey is. How is this game more accurate? Just want to know from experienced playas.

exactly. plus, when they create the teams, they dont make the rating. the players get their rating, and then when the players go onto the team, it generates a rating for them.
you can see this also when you trade players and your rating changes.

What I don't understand is how a team's best player can be rated in the 70's yet the teams overall rating is in the 80's.

while i dont understand exactly how the ratings work...i think a player, say rated in the 70's as you mentioned, would be so rated based on his characteristics being better than or equal to roughly 70% of NBA players....while a team rating would be similar in relation to the other 28 teams.....does that make any sense?

That makes perfect sense but is that what EA intended to do or do they have some other method?
