    Simple. He used the words "a few", meaning around five. This seems like way too many alley-oops to be attempting, if his motivation is to achieve any sense of realism. If he had said "a couple", I probably wouldnt have even responded.

    Players miss alley-oops all the time. We just dont see most of the misses because they never make the highlight reel.

      couple = 2
      few = 3+

      3 doesn't seem too unreasonable to me, but it doesn't even matter because he said they were uncontested. Those should be pretty much a guaranteed 2 points. Yes people miss alley-oops all the time, but even when you watch entire games they generally are making way more than half of the attempts and very rarely will someone miss one that is completely uncontested.

      Actually in real games, if a team is missing alley-oops right and left you can bet their coach will have something to say about it.

            Some of you need to watch the Cavvs play. It seems they go for 3 lobs a quarter, let alone a game.

                  Anyway I miss a lot of alley-oops. So many that I only attempt them late in a game when I am blowing the other team out. Funny things is that I played two different people online and they had Alley-oops down to a science, it appeared.
                  One guy was using the rockets and ever other play seemed like he was just tossing the ball up for one of the other players to go get. And he connected on far more than he missed.
                  Then there was this guy using the Mavs. He would spin into the lane with Nash and just toss it, I was pretty upset with this, but I remember seeing Nash do this just recently in a game.
