I applaud EA for what they did with Fifa. I am ecstatic about how well NHL 13 looks and and plays and madden 13 is well...The best Madden yet. BUT they just could nto get it togther for NBa Live in the way they did for the other sports games they have series for. NBA live 06. 06 NOT 07 08 09 but 06 was better than and on the right track to being something that could have been truly special the way the other titles turned out. I blame the commitment EA had for basketball in general. failing to continue a NCAA game and then failing to continue the nba game. I Love soccer. I love football and hockey well i'll def love Nhl 13 this year. But after all the hype of nba live coming back its coming back in a form that is wretched. WRETCHED... A instant download for the hap chance they we have some fun with a basketball alternative by Easports. Its shame ful I dont even think there will be any ediitng capabilities either. i would have just not bothered instead bringing everyone togther and wasting resources the way they di with commuity events for nba live 13. nba live 13 should be called NBA Live. and thats it. a 3 year old game and engine made to be a arcade classic...

So if a new video comes out and its better than the old one is it then ok to purchase this game 23? The fact that a game is coming out should be good enough and satisfy the competition argument. No one is forcing you to buy it and when the game does come out you will actually have to purchase it or I dont want to hear one word about a review of it if you haven't played it.

Dude, you are so far off it's not even funny at this point. How you continue to draw crazy conclusions from what I post is amazing to me. I don't know why but I'm going to try and respond to this mess. Consider it an act of boredom. Responses in bold.



I said it is somewhat ignorant to use an early build, in this case most likely a pre-alpha build, to base your decision of purchasing a game on. It's reckless. And I'm CLEARLY not going to the extreme opposite. I'm just trying to tell people to take what they saw in that video with a huge grain of salt. The EA rep came out and said it was pre-alpha, what more do you need?! Pre-alpha. Pre-freaking-alpha. Old build. Whatever you want to call it, the point still stands. Basing your purchase of a game on pre-alpha software is not the best way to decide which game is for you. At LEAST wait until EA does a proper presentation of information from a recent build or the retail build before you judge. For all we know the game could look drastically different.

you try way to hard to defend yourself, just take a break from the forum and go play live 10 or watch a movie. Pre alpha is what they said about elite vids but the demo came out the same way. How much do you really expect for $20.00. Ask yourself why EA doesnt have confidence in live as a full release like 2k and other sports game? I have been around playing live since the first game came out and i will be damned if i support them struggling with this series. We do them no good to just fork over 20 dollars if the game is garbage just to "support them". This game will be a trial game to get feedback on their direction , something the advisory council has already done. Their feedback most likely is the reason this game is a DLC game. EA is on the backburner everywhere now and until they step it up they will continue to be last. Live will not die but right now it has been in a coma for 3 years.

BTW every random post that is from people trying to justify live 13 doesnt need " fluent2332 likes this" on it.

they should just put out a free online beta for the year, build off that and come out with something worth selling in stores next year.

EA reeeallyy fell off with its basketball games since 05 smh. They never adjusted to making a quality product with the 3rd generation consoles.

I'm gonna get the game on the sole basis of finally having two NBA games to play again, one on each console like I used to do back in the day.

I may end up playing 2K more, but I'm at least glad I have an option if/when I get bored of 2K.

It's like MLB The Show and MLB 2K. I probably play The Show more, but I can still have fun with 2K because it's a different experience. I imagine that's how it will be with this game.

Who knows what their plan was? Until they come out and announce something it's all just speculation. But who knows, maybe it was their plan all along to release a $20 game, just like 2K did back in 2004 with their titles. Maybe they think that is the best approach to take to try and get back into the market. Who knows. You're saying they may have had to scrap features, but we just don't know. Why assume the worst?

Doubtful, and here's a major difference between then and now. The 2K5 titles were full games and people knew that. The fact that Live 13 is going to be a downloadable implies that it will not be a full featured title. Not to mention its automatically limited file size since it is an arcade title. EA can't go over 2gb.
