i know where getting an hd game by the looks of the video also in the video was a franchise and season mode. EA also confirmed they will be supporting the game all year and lastly i know they will have working online because that was one big win they had in there corner all a long. and for only 20 bucks it is a good deal which is why i think this game will at least go gold if not be one of the top selling downloadable sports games of this year -
This is probably EA's last stand, if this $20 game sells a certain amount, then probably they would continue the series and work on a disk game. But I honestly can't believe that instead of taking 3 years to develop this game and make it better, the developers take a 2 year vacation and just start about a year ago. Sad.Xbox 360 Rosters:
NBAE League Roster Project (2K13)
NBAE League (2K14)
Xbox One Rosters:
NBAE Pro-Am League (2K16)

Unless you are a EA or Live fanboy, I can't see anybody paying money for this title. That's robbery !!

they should just put out a free online beta for the year, build off that and come out with something worth selling in stores next year.

EA reeeallyy fell off with its basketball games since 05 smh. They never adjusted to making a quality product with the 3rd generation consoles.

Re: NBA Live 13 a $20 Digital Release This October?
I received a warning already so I can't say what I really want to say, but some of you guys on here kill me. How can some of you guys on here lie and say your not biased towards 2k? leave the game alone if you don't want to play it and go enjoy your 2k. I definitely will be purchasing nba live 13 because that's what I prefer, doesn't mean I don't know anything about a good game.Comment

So I guess a demo of this game is out of the question? Pathetic EA. Absolutely pathetic. So now we have to pay you 20 bucks for a demo because you want feedback? I think I'm done with EA until they've got decision makers who aren't complete idiots who don't care about they're consumers.Comment

I believe the NCAA rights is about to be ripped away from EA as that creates a monopoly on football games, which is illegal. Why this only just recently got brought up I have no idea, EA has had both of these licenses for a while.Last edited by jreezy18; 09-01-2012, 06:43 AM.Comment

Why do you think they stamped a $20 price tag on it? They did this because that is what fans are getting.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Comment

Re: NBA Live 13 a $20 Digital Release This October?
The only difference is, ESPN NFL 2k5 came out for $19.99 when a new retail games cost $49.99. Live 13 is coming out for 19.99 when a new retail games cost $59.99.
So this is actually a better deal than ESPN NFL 2k5. 2k you were getting for 40% of the original price and Live your getting for a third or 33% of the original price.
Can we really complain? Especially when you don't "have" to buy the game. It's 'Sconnie not wiscy!!!!!Comment

Re: NBA Live 13 a $20 Digital Release This October?
With people buying Madden, even though it has a lot of flaws and stuff that haven't been touched since Madden 2005 ... EA is smart for releasing NBA Live 13. They can throw out an unfinished, unpolished game and still make money off of it. It is a good tactic for EA so instead of not releasing anything and not making any money - put out an inferior product, with a price and fill up their wallet.

In my opinion, they started off on the wrong foot by using assets from Elite. In no way, shape, or form should that have happened. Using assets from a failed game is not how you build a new game. The time they spent cycling through assets they could use from Elite could have been time spent building a new engine. I don't know if EA was just trying to be cheap and not invest a lot on the rebuilding of the franchise or what. But when you've been out of the game for two seasons, you don't try to make a comeback by recycling a canceled game and trying to be lite with the budget. Live has forever been tarnished.Comment

Re: NBA Live 13 a $20 Digital Release This October?
If EA sport don't matter what release this 20$ NBA Live 13, for me it will be unconditional proof of threir incompetence. They just once again prove their direspectfull relations with the fans. They just keep us for fools, its once again proves that they have no balls, no courage to admit their defeat.
Look at 2k team and what they do with their NHL franchise despite the fact that NHL2k10 in some ways was won even NHL 12. They just closed it and concentrate on NBA2k.
Some of you might think it's only 20$, who cares? But it's not about money, it's about respect to us, gamers. Don't be the fools!Last edited by artmind; 09-01-2012, 11:06 AM.Comment

Re: NBA Live 13 a $20 Digital Release This October?
These guys talk about getting Live '13/Elite 1.5 instead of 2K because it's different, when they should just stick to playing Live '10 with updated rosters. Live '10 looks better than Live '13 and if Live '13 plays anything at all like Elite, Live '10 will play better than Live '13 as well.Last edited by nova91; 09-01-2012, 10:52 AM.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment
