Graphics and patches alone make it a worthy 20 dollar purchase IMO.

I'd agree with that. If you can trade in your xbox / ps2 copy and get the PC one for $20, do it. It's worth it for the patches, some of which are great (Staples Center, Yao, Duncan, Pierce...look very good) Rosters patches are excellent also.

Speaking of...anyone know what has happened to NBALIVE.ORG? The sites all gone except the forums?

If the gameplay isn't patched, I'm cool with the XBOX version. This game can be frustrating because of it's issues, but lack post depth and dribble/triple threat options make ID just as frustrating IMO...It sure is nice to have 3 (Live, Drive and NCAA2k) good b-ball titles to choose from this season.

i'm not sure what is going on with nbalive.org. I know nba-live.com is working ok. But for now, look through the forums at the 2004 annoucnements area and you can download pretty much all you need there. The chris andersen patch, with spiky hair, is great.

Believe it or not, i have over 200 players patched, over 20 arenas, shotclock, and the espn tv logos in the game(given i didnt make the patches, i just click and download, it still takes a solid effort to get it done, error free. Either shoes, faces, or headbands and accersories. Given it took like 20 or so hours to do. It is worth it IMO, because looking at a great game can settle my nerves a bit from the lack in gameplay, at times.

                  Re: Back to Live...For good

The issue regarding fastbreaks has been addressed to a large extent if you download the latest NLSC patch or Ben's patch at Nbalive.org. The cpu teams now play alot more deliberate, taking their time in establishing their offensive plays which in turn significantly reduces the fastbreaking problem. You'd have to be nuts not to pick up a copy of the PC game!
