For the record, I don't think folks should be giving Jay Jay a hard time for posting a relevant thread in this forum. You may feels it's all talk from EA, but it's still bits of information on the game of interest in this forum. So, it certainly belongs and should be posted. Keep it coming. Sucks donkey balls that the original article was taken down, though.

Sounds like the same numbers game EA has touted for madden next gen, 1000 new this 4x the number of that, 10x better this and AI is increased by a certain % BUT when we finally see little 3 second snippets of gameplay it looks indiscernible from what we have in our PS3/360. I appreciate that EA is at least talking big but LIVE has had a shaky past at best this generation and for it to be this close to launch I think we are all wondering if EA is watching/waiting to see what 2K has created and perhaps fold up shop again with LIVE. I sure hope the best for the LIVE series because competition is what drives innovation. It has been the Madden curse for 5 years now, EA has put out a decent NFL game at best and not been forced to create the best football experience they are capable of.

Not to derail the subject, but THIS is a key statement. To me, it's show of respect for the EA Sports brand and legacy. We EXPECT quite a bit from EA Sports. Sometimes, too much. But when you look at the quality of FIFA, you see that Madden has been a staple for 25 years, and you know they have the resources - you CERTAINLY expect more from them. At the very least, you expect a game that exponentially better than a 9 year old game. Yet, we don't. And that fact really makes me question the capabilities of the Tiburon studio in it's current form. I know for a fact there are some very bright people there. Maybe they are biting off too much. Frankly, I think they should go back to doing Madden and only Madden. Is doing Madden, NCAA(? dead for now), Tiger Woods, Fight Night/UFC and now Live, far too much for them to manage?

Also people are hypercritics because people say don't use 2K to help your Argument But its ok for people to use Lives past history to help their argument smh

Like I've been saying I hope BOTH games succeed next gen

I think you mean hypocrites and I'm pretty sure you don't know what the word means. I say that because there's nothing hypocritical about what you're describing.

1,000 "new" animations?!? Aren't all animations "new!" I hope so?!? Time to see some video! That goes for 2k (and many other NG titles as well) too. 10-30 second produced mixtapes aren't justifying the $500 consumers have to shell out for new console, game, etc!!! Almost a month from release, this comes across fairly ridiculous to me!!

It all sounds good on paper, but like everyone else is saying, we need some videos of it in motion.

I'm getting both games for next gen just for the variety, but right now it's looking like 2K will get the majority of the playing time. I want Live to give us something REALLY good on their next gen debut.

Imagine two good basketball games out at the same time? Ahhh the nostalgia..

Uh why wouldn't people use Live's past history when we are talking about Live. Doesn't make sense to talk about another game.
