I dig that, but I got over that a long time ago. I rocked with EA from Lakers vs Celtics till about Live 08'. I was a fan of Live, but a bigger fan of basketball. Once 2K started making better bball games, I had to make that switch(around 2K6). Even then, I would buy 2K for the system and Live for the PC. But eventually, enough became enough. The whole strategy of this company is not built with the consumer/excellence in mind. After a while, folks gotta get tired of being strung along.

Re: New Live 14 Interview
It's what all developers do? WHAT? Name one 3 year plan that 2K had to implement into their basketball title? They've been the undisputed leader in basketball since NBA 2K6, and a lot of people will tell you it's been longer than that.
You keep having these 3 year plans, and you'll never make any progress. They were on their way with Live 10, scrapped that and ruined everything they had with Elite. Now, we have ANOTHER 3 year plan? What happens when 2K still outsells Live every year? Another 3 year plan? With another head of creative?
These 3 year plans do NOTHING but set you back 3 years. Mainly because they can't get it right. It's the same reason why Madden has been a fail this entire generation, they've had multiple 3 year plans. Yeah it worked with FIFA, yeah it worked with the NHL series, but these development teams had a vision, stuck to it and made it work. The NFL and NBA series from EA sports are a joke with these constant 3 year plans.
We shouldn't have to keep paying full prices for games that are the starts of 3 year plans. This has nothing to do with being patient, we just know the track record when it comes to EA Basketball titles. These 3 year plans never come to fruition, and even when they get close, it gets scrapped for something worse because of poor sales.
EA needs to go all out and deliver the best experience they can with EACH TITLE, because news flash, they're not going to outsell 2K anytime soon, maybe not ever again. I understand the optimism from some of you Live fans, hell, I started out with Live 95 on the SNES, but when you start putting out inferior product after inferior product, there comes a time when you have to realize you can pay the same price for something better.
It's funny that the best NBA Live was 10, where Mike Wang was the head game designer, the same guy heading the NBA 2K team.. That tells me all I need to know. The guys who work on this game just don't know what they're doing to give us a complete, sim experience, they just don't have it.
EA is literally the only company iv'e heard use this 3 year plan moniker. They really should have it copyrighted. It's nothing but an excuse to meComment
