Does this Live 13 trailer for current gen look any different then Live 14 next gen?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8sXPKbIfJo In some ways I think this NBA Live 13 trailer for current gen which never saw a release looks better then the next gen trailer of NBA Live 14 that just came out, which sadly doesn't say much for the state of the series. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if this was a direct port of that game because they look identical in a lot of ways particularly how unnatural the players move, robotic.

Live 14 is twice the frame rate, has much smoother and realistic looking dribbling and is likely higher resolution.

It also shares the same awkward animations, gumby graphics, and unrealistic disproportionate player models and I have yet to see ball to rim interaction which has been off and unrealistic in Live for as long as I can remember. I want Live to succeed because I feel competition brings out the best in competing products but I just can't see it happening with this engine Live currently has. I'm just stating what I see with my two eyes.

Lol it doesnt look the same though. The thing is nba 2k hasnt showed gameplay. We already know 2k has far superior graphics than live, but 2k has showed only dunks so we dont know if we are going to get the same animation based basketball game. Ill wait till we see real 5 v 5 gameplay for both.

Nice logic. Haha we also saw shooting and passing animations which were also buttery smooth from 2k. Nice try though. I dont think anyone has to wait to see gameplay to know which game will look better at this point. Thats like saying you've een this ugly girl in a music video and a couple pictures but you want to take her on a date because you think somehow she will turn into a supermodel once you see her in person.

Try watching the 11 minute 5vs5 and see. 14 in the brief actual 5vs5 parts is 10x better.

Is it just me or is the only way to hear any critique of a Live from the Defender Force is when it's time for the next year's game to come out and the only way to hype it (since EA usually leaves everyone hanging on actual info) is by trashing how bad the previous year was?

And how bad that other game is. Oh, and of course Live's many problems also surface when attempts are made to pin them on developers that no longer work at EA. :P

It's also interesting that the praise is usually unqualified and vague. They just "like Live". But then again it might be hard to be specific about a series with no games to play.

I had to abandon live after 08 after being a die hard live fan...I was looking forward to seeing where they will end up in next gen...pretty much exactly where they left off,lol...now, nothings in stone until actual release, but after that funky looking movement and old live looking game play, its not looking good for EA again...
