I'll still check out the demo, player editing isn't really a big deal to me

This is one of the main reasons I'm looking forward to Live so much. 100% authenticity throughout the NBA season.
So you just play one off games all year? No season mode?

I trust Live will do the rosters properly.

Look, the Live crew knows what they're doing. I'd rather have them put something out than trust a guy who's just playing the game but doesn't know all the ins and out of the development, how exactly the ratings affect each other, etc.

So while community rosters may be okay, I would prefer Live to just get it right and keep it updated throughout the year.

EA takes away a feature included in almost every other sports game so they can do it themselves, and WE are the control freaks? "I don't think so Tim."

Something tells me sliders won't be in the game too. This kind of thing just screams no sliders too.. smh I hope not.

In fact I remember at one point in an EA basketball you couldn't touch sliders.

It sucks, but I was never one for player editing. So there are no sliders either?

There shouldn't need to be an update. If you're still playing through the 2013-14 season, it will still use the game data available for those games. Now if you're playing a dynasty and are years into it, I suspect there will be some kind of progression/regression based on how players performed in the prior season.

                    Obviously, it's pure speculation though.

I used to play franchise modes. The best part about Live in my opinion is the 100% authentic rosters all year long. Yes, my buddies and I play one-off games online against each other, and playing with up to date rosters was/is amazing. It was also a lot of fun to play that day's real life matchups. For example, tonight the Clippers and Heat play, in Live 10 you could play that matchup the same day with the same rosters as real life, or play it a day after or a few hours after the game ended and have all that DNA actually in the game. Great stuff.

You can't play online with these edited players so why's it matter?

It's for the offline experience, and lots of folks here at OS are big on the offline modes like Season and my player as well.

Exactly. And franchise mode is primarily what people play in OS.

And EA is notorious for draft picks having dumb accessories or a lack of variety. Most rookies will have identical gear ill bet.

It's either ok because they knew how to get players right out of the box (and/or with updates when relevant), or it's: hello 'NBA Live 14 The Inside'.
                                My Specs:

                                ZX Spectrum
                                CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
