You tried to dunk from the freethrow line? There was 2 defenders under the rim though.

L1 + up is motion/screen type play(this will get mid/3pt shots)
L1+right is post up/mid range plays
L1+left is iso plays.

Read the plays, normally they have numbers in the play type.

Triangle
R1
L1

If it says 2-4 screen. Most likely involves your SG and PF.

Until they fix the camera just use espn/easports camera. Game was obviously built for those 2. I was a 2k cam only type player and have since adjusted to the broadcast type cams. Just continue to play and youll get better.

well i mean usually in 2k even from like the 3 point line once you beat your man you can start going for a layup, whether or not a big rotates and blocks you is another thing lol. that's what I was used to.

You were way too far out in the video you posted...even by 2k standards...I do think the animation should start a little further out though...or at least be more contextual...

I think the game is decent so far just clunky as hell and missing tons of obvious features like why can't I sim a game to the end or save and exit the game in my franchise mode? Those not being options are mind boggling in 2013 sports gaming lol.

yea its a lot different lol. thats why everyone says that if you try to play the same as 2k you will not have fun with this game. i like it better this way. there are a lot of times in the other game that i WANT to pull up off the dribble but end up going into a layup/dunk animation instead at least in the cg version.

How about substitutions? Auto subs are a little wonky, and when I call timeout to manually sub in players it won't even put them in. Pausing the game and going into the subs, changing the lineup there, confirming the pending lineup and next dead ball....they don't go in

Kinda frustrating trying to get my bench in the game and it constantly puts in my starters

One glitch I've noticed with substitutions is that guys sometimes won't get subbed in off a made free throw.

I've seen times where there are as many as 6 people waiting at the scorer's table. Then a foul occurs, the shooter makes his free throws, and all 6 guys are still stuck at the scorekeeper's table like there was never even a dead ball.

How are you guys making jumpers? I'm playing a Grizzlies dynasty on default all-star settings, and I am just absolutely atrocious shooting in this game

I've tried releasing at what I believe to be the top of the players jump, but with no real shot-feedback, I'm not doing very well. Tony Allen went 0-8 from the field last night, and I finished shooting somewhere around 34% over all

The weird part is I can bury my free-throws, so at the line, I'm great. But on a pick & pop, or drive & dish to the open man in the corner, I'm garbage.

What gives?

watch the ring around your shooters feet. it will flash white on the right timing.

Free throws? What free throws? I've played 10 games and I've seen the CPU get to the line 4 times and I've gone to the line twice. This is with all fouls at 100.

Lack of fouls is killing the fun/interest level for me and waiting for the "Big Patch" is somewhat starting to lose me.

Still holding out hope but getting close to the halfway point in the season and I just didn't think it would take this long

It doesn't take long to get a big patch out, however it does take a long time to get a GOOD big patch out.

To be honest if they can get all they talked about in that patch out by the end of this month I'll be completely shocked. It's not so much about making the changes, it's making sure that making SO many changes doesn't break the game in half.
