That's exactly what I do. You won't find me in the other forum complaining constantly about that games short comings. I love this game so there is no need for that.

You don't have to go to the 2k forum, you do that enough here...calling it the "other game" doesn't make it any less true. Everyone with a complaint about Live 14 Is not a 2k fan. You love the game, it's perfect for you, fine....but for some of us it isn't, despite how much fun we are having. No need to spark a game war with little comments every time some one has feedback.

Forgot to mention spacing - Live clearly has this down pat.

I wish they added one more camera angle which zoomed in and panned down slightly more than the ESPN cam.

I agree about spacing... love it (not sure if that fits into the graphical category)I think thats a result of a bigger court, which is why its not more zoomed in. Like I said yesterday, if you have players around the same build and they dont have accessorys, its easy to not know who your plays are until you pass them the ball. I shot at least 2 3's with the Demarcus Cousins yesterday, lol. So I am not sure what the solution is, move in the camera or just continue to build likeness, because lets be honest, zoomed in graphics are cool, but the in game is whats important.EDIT: I will have to refer to WTF's post again, there is one arena cam that would be perfect as a camera option now that I think about it...

Part of the benefit to the spacing is each player has a smaller "force field" than most games. In fact, this is something all EA games do well. Look at how great FIFA players interact with each other for the most part.

If they wanted to, they could trigger animations and interactions to occur with a certain "distance" to the player model. Most buffer this to avoid polygon tearing.

In my opinion NBA Live 14's graphics are a mixed bag leaning to not so good. I've to admit that there are very good aspects in its graphics; exterior of stadiums are well done and adds to the presentation although I feel FIFA 14 did it better; the stadiums, floors and its reflections are quite impressive with great detail; tattoos, the ball and specially the shoes are amazing, the detail put into them are very "next-genesque". Sweat, some accessories like socks and other body aspects like veins and calves up close look quite good too.

However, I'd say the rest of the graphics can be mediocre at best. Faces are hit or miss, mostly misses but a few of them are very good; body models can look decent to good on replays but during gameplay they miss its detail and lacks more variety between the different players, it isn't as noticeable as Live 10 had between its different builds, maybe they could try to build each players' bodies individually to give them a more personalized look?; hair and facial hair that aren't buzz cuts lack detail; the crowd doesn't look as good or active as Live 10 which really helped in the immersion while playing a game; jerseys lack texture detail from what I think, the front font in many to most jerseys are smaller than they should be and also the back font seems to be the same for every team with the only difference being its colour which I don't understand why would they do that.
Also, as far as I'm concerned, the lightning must be the worst aspect of the game graphically speaking, it gives them a glossy, weird and unrealistic looks to the players in particular their faces.

Watching pictures of the game that are posted on the site from replays with the zoom close to the players I think the game looks ok but the lack of quality of how it look during gameplay holds the game back in regards to graphics, up close it looks like a PS 3.5 game but it doesn't looks like that when one plays so it doesn't matter much as long as it looks ugly while playing (specially when the terrible animations appear). Hopefully they'll improve greatly the graphics for Live 15 or at least get closer to what Irving looked on the Cover Announcement video which I actually think it looks better than the game itself.

They better use the full potential of ignite next year to improve the overall graphics and animations. They also must use anything from EA's other sport titles that can help the game since the ignite engine is connected to all their sports games

Live has its moments in the graphics area, you get a more feel of being in an arena in Live, wheres as 2k its the player.

In the pic post the one of the bird man dunking is sweet and on par with 2k, but Live needs this through out the game play and not just zoomed in.

I'm guessing they struggled with someone because there using the trick or reducing graphics when zoomed out, which shouldn't be applicable in next gen. Maybe they had frame rate issue and had to resort to reducing graphics to have a respect frame rate.

I honestly wish they could combine the games. It would be perfect imo

It's funny that one can't compare this games graphics to another hoop game without the threat of being banned. But it's ok to compare to games like FIFA or some other sport, very confusing.

The more I play Live the more I like the graphics.

I don't see what's wrong with comparing a game to another game that it's made from the same company which are trying to do the same thing for their presentation (exterior shot of the stadium) and supposedly are going to share or are already sharing some technology with the Ignite Engine.

It's ok, just mentioned FIFA since they can use their resources or mimic some of its style since FIFA 14's next-gen presentation improved greatly and it gave a better immersion than their graphics themselves.

Don't know why he hasn't gotten a red card yet. His MO is extremely lame and old at this point.

Anyway, back on topic. I think the combination of the player movements and the plastic looking players does the most damage to the graphics of the game. The guys just look so awkward and weird in their movements. It just doesn't seem right at all.

One thing I wanted to point out is that I love how user friendly the replay camera is...makes for some good shots...like it has been said before, you can get some really nice zoom shots (if you dont mind Live's art style that is)

It's going to be interesting to see just what improvements are made in the updates\ next year..

If you compare to games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin's creed (which is basically a port) then the game looks bad to be NG.
