I don't really think there's much more I have to say.
Hey guy. I appreciate your allegience and support of EA. I don't have a problem with what you're saying... but one small exception. You mentioned we should praise EA for their effort. In my lexicon, praise is for service above and beyond - not for doing what should have been done in the first place. A thank you would suffice in this case.

After hearing both interviews from Sean O' Brien and Scott O' Gallagher, it confirmed that Live 14 was a rush job with some paint slapped on it to be sold for $60. I don't want to be in their position for Live 15 because their will be lots of pressure. Will they finally use the technology they have been hyping up to make the game stand out or will they continue to string along the community with EA PR protocol babble?

Re: NLSC Post-Patch Interview with NBA Live 14 Gameplay Designer Scott O'Gallagher

Some parts of that interview rub me the wrong way, one thing is to be confident about their product and another is to feel too good about themselves. Post-release support is and should be a norm nowadays so I honestly don't understand why is he making acting like releasing a patch so groundbreaking, which sports game next-gen just gave us a disk and has us waiting for their next iteration? I'd to believe Bouncetek is revolutionary but for the moment I haven't seen it, maybe in future games it will and it will reach the potential it's supposed to have. Also, so not having face scans is an excuse now? If you go to modding sites like Moddingway you can find fantastic faces and their creators only needed good pics from the players that could be find online, I'm not trying to discredit the artists on the Live team but they are there because they have talent enough to make good looking stuff like the other ones that do them on their free time; besides I remember that on Live 13 the team highlighted the amount of time and detail on players' faces put by their artists but now they use the lack of scans as an excuse.

Also, saying that "the consumers who bought our game were the hardcore basketball fans" is in my opinion a disrespect to the ones who are also sim players who didn't buy their game, I'm sure there are lots of them that didn't buy Live simply because the game wasn't good enough for them. With the exception to the ones who like and play the game, do you think many "hardcore basketball fans" can live with major issues with the game like the lack of timeouts from the CPU, late game shot clock violations by CPU teams who are losing, no subs when setting manual substitutions, just to name a few examples?
Moreover, how they honestly expect to improve their games if they disregard most criticism that they get from the game? I thought game reviews helped gaming companies to improve their future games but it doesn't seem so for the Live team.
Live has a long way to go to be competing head to toe with 2K and to gain respect and trust from the basketball gaming community, I hope they make a FIFA-like comeback but seeing their attitude doesn't give me hope they can do so, wish I'm wrong.

*looks up meaning of lexicon* Well the only reason I say they deserve the praise they're getting is because someone mentioned how they were drinking their own kool-aid like they don't have the right to be happy or feel encouraged.

If you haven't praised them or don't plan on it that's on you, but to say they shouldn't accept or be happy with the praise they're getting is just hating on EA in my opinion.

We all know EA's made mistakes and they're the company everyone loves to hate, but at least give credit where it's due. I'm not saying to bow down and worship EA because they've added a practice mode but at least saying "nice" for the sticking to the commitment and plan that they've set thus far is justified.

Just seems like some people won't even give them that much. If they want to bask in retweets let them. It's probably contributing to a better game in 2014, that's all I'm really saying. If you don't want to praise them fine, but don't get mad when people do and they're enjoying it.

They still have work to do, you and I both know that, but let them at least enjoy this small period of rest and joy. Sheesh.

That comment alone pretty much disqualifies the game from being next gen.

This isn't some indie game developer we're talking about.

I honestly think the team are stuck in a time warp and it's 2006. That interview over at the NLSC was stunningly naive. He sounded like adding more than one playable camera and some playbooks were revolutionary ideas. Just unbelievable stuff. I was hopefu for 2015, but it's clear the head guy has zero idea about modern gaming.

And the "hardcore" fans like our game is absolutely comical. Hardcore fans like a game with no subs, automatic dunks off rebounds, raymodn felton and steve novak blocking 8 shots a game, every player having basically the same ability to block, rebound and dunk. Hilariously ridiclous comment.

the only thing ive had a problem with out of what you listed is the (sort of) the no subs from the cpu. i play with auto-subs and just make manual adjustments when i want. in that case the cpu team does make subs but they do not call timeouts. that is an issue. but i have no issue with players getting unrealistic stats (a pg/sg racking up blocks) and every player definitely does not have the same ability to block/rebound. dunking is over the top though i will say that.

I dont think its a bad game, even from the demo. But ITS NOT AND NEVER WAS A $60 GAME. This game should have been sold for $30 tops at release. I wont purchase this game for more than $30. The fact that its still $50 on Amazon and $60 everywhere else is insane. Its just not worth that much. This game is still a development cycle away from being a presentable $60 product. This is not to disrespect the devs im just saying obviously for however long they were working on the game, it simply needs more dev time. great foundation to build on, but foundations are not worth $60. We didnt see much leading up to launch of the game because simply they even knew the game was not ready to launch.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

                    Unbelievable.
On this one I got to give a pass. I'm taking a little photography class and I'm supposed to be taking a portrait for my current lesson which was a few days ago. I can't get my "model" to carve out a time to get it done , mind you my "model" LIVES WITH ME! lol If I can't get my own wife to line up the time to take one picture I can imagine the hell they're going through trying to get a league of mofos who probably are all more vain than women, no offense women but you women know what I mean.
