I think this is not a big problem, since they can have several game modes, like Arcade and Simulation. They can make the Arcade mode like NBA LIVE 2003 so players who prefer flash games can love it, they can tweak the gameplay to be realistic in Simulation Mode, which would please hardcore gamers.

    I agree

they need to make arcade with all the flash!!i think they have got that right
but they gotta concentrate on building Sim mode up, lets face it thats what we are all asking for!!

the two different modes should be defined!!!
My All-time Favourite players is order:
    1.Larry Johnson
    2.Kevin Garnett
    3.Blake Griffin
    4.Ben Wallace
    5.Shawn Kemp

you won't see this, that would be 2 different games and they wont take the time to code a sim version and an arcade version. They will both run off the same engine like they always have. But I agree, i'd like to see more basketball basics and fundamentals and strategy.

Ratings need to be much more in depth, certain players should have certain capabilities. It was somewhat true in 04. And I to hate when they double EVERY player that posts up(speedy claxton shouldn't get doubled ever in the post!). Defense should be a bit more realistic too, not just 1 on 1 defense but team defense. Mavs shouldn't be locking anyone down, nor should the kings.

            FOR X-BOX OWNERS ONLY:

NBA Inside Drive is the best basketball simulation on the market. Here are some things you'll find in this game that you won't find in live:

            1. Player tendencies sliders: Kobe not driving to the hoop enough? T-Mac taking to many threes? Want to make Rip Hamilton shoot midrange jumpers galore? This is the only game where the players play like their real-life counterparts. If you play the Lakers, you won't have to lower Devean George's "primacy" rating cause his "shoots often" slider is low.

            2. Pinned shots against the backboard: I'm a Pistons fan, so I love it when micro guards drive the lane and I pin their shots against the glass or slap them off the backboard.

            3. Off-the ball fouls: holding, push-offs, over-the-back, it's all in this game.

            4. Challenging free throw system---try making 100% in this game....it doesn't happen!

            5. Mid-range, mid-range, mid-range---players actuallyy play like pro players....backdowns, fade-aways, it's all customizable.

I know I'll probably get "take this to the ID" thread but I beleive this info should be known by everybody in the basketball cyber game community.....this comes from somebody who has played these games since the days of Double Dribble on the Nintendo.....if not, it would be a "Travashamockery" if Live or ESPN comes out with a game that doesn't play like ID.

Wild- You're totally right. Inside Drive is the Winning Eleven of basketball- head and shoulders above the competition. If MS is true to their word and keeps the rosters updated next year, I highly doubt I'll purchase another basketball game, as both EA and Sega have a long way to go before they are in a position to catch ID.

Wow I never realized ID had so many great little features. If it was on the PS2 I would go pickup a copy right now. *Salivates* at the thought of a basketball equivalent to Winning Eleven.

This is what I suggested. It seems to be the best idea to appease both types of gamers. They could just implement Live '03 or '04 with minor tweaks like the graphics upgrade, new moves, and different things they are already putting in the game anyhow, and there is your arcade game. You won't have to change much at all as far as coding, and you have the best of both worlds there.
