If the game is playable I will get it. If it has no virtual currency I will get it. To me it at least needs to be a70avg meta critc it let's me know the foundation is solid

Biggest mistake they ever made was removing editing options from Live.

You can't release sports games on Next Gen consoles and then go back to the stone ages (Sega Genesis) in terms of not allowing gamers to edit anything.

Yeah that's a stab at 2k, I haven't bought NBA Live in easily 14 or 15 years but if they come correct and things aren't looking the way I like in 2k I have no problem getting Live.
Can't get with that. It's 2014 going into 2015. My sports games need to do all of that. There's not a single excuse on earth anymore with the machines we have in our living rooms for this kind of stuff to be a "maybe" on the features checklist.

That and the fact that those features have been included for WAY too long for them to all of a sudden be excluded. Makes no sense. If those features aren't in this year, it's going to be hard for me to justify buying it.

Offline editing sure but online and leagues just need the synergy to work as intended and up to the hour. I like how everyone is on the same playing field.

I don't understand the offline play the CPU gamer. No challenge or glory!!

More competitive than the online guy who does nothing but "cheese". Played a game online where a guy took like 40 3's with Jose Calderon and made about half. Played anotherguy who dropped 66 wwith steph curry just jaxking 3's.

I think synergy is whats holding up editing. Either make it perfect or give us editing options.

You'd be surprised how competitive you could make NBA Live offline with the ability to edit sliders and ratings.

In fact you'd probably get a better overall gaming experience period if EA allowed those things back into the game.

There are quite a few talented roster and slider guys here at OS that makes the CPU a very formidable offline opponent.

60 dollars isn't enough to warrant them? can someone explain to me?

I think a lot of the editing options could have something to do with Synergy unfortunately.

I dont think so, synergy aint a new concept brought in to Live 14, it has been since 10 and back then we had editing. The competition has a form of synergy (maybe less automated) too and it at least presents some form of raw editing.

I think it has to do more with lessening the criticism of the default game, I mean, its enough to have the game be criticized and compared to the competition ... but when it is also potentialy (disfavorably) meassured and compared to some worthy custom rosters, the repercussions affect pride ... it is wrongly missinterpreted as a form of shame and downgrade, of "hey, look how great the game you created looks and play with my edits instead" ... thus being honest, its not solely an EA thing, as I implied at the begining, it is now a genre trend as the competition is slowly but decidedly doing so too.

Hopefully they realize that granting full editing and options to users, while it might expose you to added criticism (not all criticism is bad, certainly not this), ultimately leads to two things:

                            - Improving the game, by taking notes of the worthy custom rosters approach and implementing them (maybe refine or enhance them) on further versions.

                            - Increased markets reach (and subsequentedly, increased sales) as casuals, hardcore, sim, cheesers, everyone would be able to make the game fit their unique view without having to just adapt and play with the no longer viable option of a default roster based on futile compromises to appeal all of such markets at once.

There is little to no excuse to do not have editing and customization currently, given how we had it in the past, we shouldnt be pleased with just a reintroduction, we need exponentially expanded editing/customization/create a features ... we have the flexible and powered systems to do so, we just need them to realize its benefits and focus on making it happen.

OGSports voted no... Meaning he won't buy it if it doesn't come with comprehensive customization options or he'll buy it either way? Would like that ambiguity cleared up...

I would still buy it . I respect the synergy aspect. I just want the fundamentals ( passing, blocking , footplanting , ) nailed down . I'm ready to play real basketball. Where game planning and outsmarting your opponent matters. Not who can play the cheesiest .
