Thank you, sirjam, for your input. I still play Live every once in a while, though ID takes up most of my time....however, your theory interested me greatly, and I think I will try it out. However, I have two questions for you:

1. Does the computer block less shots? It didn't matter who I was playing with on All-Star level--if you didn't create 3 ft. of separation, the defender (from point guards to centers) would always block your shot.

2. Also, do teams go to their go-to-guys or do all players still play the same? This is the biggest reason why I bought ID---teams go to their superstars.

Thanks Wildcat. I will have to look into the block shots thing. I have only been playing with the Lakers and Pistons so far. I do notice that the game is much slower realistic pace, and it seems that teams run their plays and set things up better on this level. I played against the Lakers and Kobe was killing Prince. Then I played with the Lakers and Rip was getting more shots, but more importantly they were moving the ball for the good shot. Sheed was absoulutely devastating. It should also be noted that I am running Bens roster for Live.org. That has correct team plays and strategies with it. I am going to play with some other teams today maybe some classics as well. I will look into the block thing. Right now I do have cpu blocks up pretty high if not max to compensate for the drop in difficulty level.

There they are. Give these a try. I wasn't going to post these but I had such a great game with 92Chi vs 95hou that I had to share them early with someone. Keep in mind as with all games if you try to exploit the Ai there will be ways it doesn't matter which level your on. Thats why it is called artificial intelligence. If played the way the game is played in real life, I think that you will find these sliders very interesting. Alot more realistic break opportunities and just a better overall game, in my opinion. Anyways let me know what you guys think. Again these are just a raw version of the sliders.

well damn,

i played until half time
Sam cassel scored 26 points on me in the first Qtr
i basically had to turn the cPU shooting sliders down by 10 points respectivly, now i seem to be getting a good game, although i think a few too many shots are still falling.

I definitely agree with you on the shots. That is something that I will be working on. Or if you have a good set let me know. What did you think about the others things as far as gameplay goes?

Guys i'm blown away by playin starter.
I thought it would be too easy (usualy played superstar and won most of the time) but i already 2 awesome games 1oss to Det and a OT win vs. NO.

Even more suprising is i left all my superstar sliders for starter except of game speed , Free throws and Cpu Physical D.

Also i set my opponents pressure on D at high which results in good cpu D.

So far i only changed :
Game speed 30
Free throws 100
CPU physical D 100

Also i thought that there's a slightly better mid range game now.
Can anyone agree this ?

I thought it would be too easy (usualy played superstar and won most of the time) but i already 2 awesome games 1oss to Det and a OT win vs. NO.
