I'm stunned by all the comments in an hour. I literally figured nobody cared about this game but apparently a lot of people are begging for competition against 2k. So are people really sick of 2k? I am but that doesn't mean much.

I cared I am buying my first basketball game in a long time this year. I liked how the previous trailer looked but these videos were pretty underwhelming. I will still hold off on buying any game until after Live comes out but right now I am def leaning in the other direction.

I love 2K, a lot more than some people seem to since I play it nearly daily. That being said, I would love another basketball game to change up the spectrum. I'm sure 2K themselves would like it too because it would challenge them and you know they'd rise to the occasion.

Here's the thing about the release date. You as an individual Live fan can say "It's okay, they're refining the game." I'm sure it is okay to you and it may win some people over playing the game eventually. The problem is that a forum of three or four dedicated fans isn't going to make this game money. Breaking promises after already putting out a not good game last year is only going to make people hesitant to ever give the game another chance. You can only be burned so many times before you just get tired of it and move on. I feel bad saying this because the team involved HAS been active on these forums. I'm sure they work hard but it sounds like an organized mess on the Live side of things and that leads to broken promises.

Why can't people just be interested in an alternative? You don't have to be sick of a game or series to be interested in what else is out there.

I hate what the lack of sports games has done to gamers. Games can't coexist, we gotta pick and choose sides. That **** is wack.

& Im not the guy to bash and throw shade on the game but I get so frustrated when I watch bad gameplay, read the threads, and still see "looks good".. Like wtf? That didn't look good at all to me..

Exactly. Does it look better than Live 14? Yes, but it's supposed to lol. I find it hilarious how EA has lowered the bar so low for themselves that people are clamoring for them to just put out a decent product. So because EA can't seem to make a solid basketball game for the life of them they automatically get this sympathy card from people? I just don't get it. I get tired of hearing "Live doesn't have to compete they just have to make a decent game" or "they're making strides in the right direction" smh. Man bump all that nonsense! How many years are we gonna give this company to get their act together? It's been 5 YEARS since they released a decent basketball game! 5 YEARS! The truth of the matter is they ARE in competition with 2K no matter how anyone wants to slice it. It's easy for us to say "It's ok EA just put out a game you can be proud of" when it's not our $ being invested ol. EA has shareholders they have to answer to. Bottom line is this game has to sell in order for this series to have a future. EA knows this hence the delay til Oct 28th.

I personally think the 9 lives (no pun intended lol) NBA Live seems to have has more to do with us just wanting so badly to have 2 basketball games to choose from being that every other sport (with the exception of Soccer) has lost all competition. People are just desperate for competition. That doesn't mean EA should get a pass. They've had long enough to get it together. Enough is enough. They need to be judged according to 2014 Next Gen sports game standards not I just hope it's better than Live 10 standards.

I like what I see from the videos because they're a big improvement from Live 14 in just about every way in my opinion. All EA has to do is put out an enjoyable, playable, respectable game. Everyone, including EA, knows they won't top 2K at this stage, so manage your expectations people. This clearly needs some polish though, and that's what they say they're going to add by delaying the game. Cool with me! It's only three weeks. Def need sliders though as every sports game should have.

I see this completely different. I don't know why on a new gen system in 2014 why we would need sliders in the 1st place. Difficultly levels ok game speed ok. Sliders to control 3pointer made or layups is some thing IMO that should be determined by the players stats with the situation to be realistic.

Can't front, that looked solid. Faaarrr better than how the game looked when playing the 14 demo. I got a lil excited with those clips....however, sup wit those damn paddle hands, EA???? Can never get rid of them. Otherwise, kudos. I really look forward to a demo.

Oh, as for the delay, just a couple more weeks and I never get upset about game delays when I know they get more time to 'improve' a game. Basically this two weeks delays going gold for a tad more polish.

Are you serious? Then this game isnt even a rental for me. I dont trust EA or any developer to get the game realistic enough without sliders.

I guess, even if the gameplay is solid, there will still be the concern of not having sliders. Too bad, because it just adds another layer of potential problems. I'd love it if it were great for my taste out of the box, but if it's not, there's a problem here.

What kind of investment do you guys think they need to do away with the current engine that makes those animations move like that?

One day it's "The game shouldn't need sliders. It should play right, out of the box." The next it's "How can a game not have sliders?"
