I don't get the logic behind the shooting.

When I'm shooting a free throw, I don't understand why a GREAT release wouldn't go in 100% of the time. This has happened a couple of times to me online...maybe the shot feedback is off in online games? This is the only place I've seen it.Offline, I'm fine with missing some wide open shots on GREAT releases, but that doesn't seem to apply both ways. The CPU shoots the 3 at a insane clip, even with a hand in their face. Seems to be how they keep themselves in games.

Shooting just doesn't feel good at all to me with these release points either...There are player's where you'll get a late release from barely skimming the button. A good bit shooting animations are on point, why can't we release a the top of them?

On a positive note, played 3 quarters vs. Mav's last night...and there was only 1 post up to Tyson Chandler....maybe this is Synergy kicking in.

Finally got a chance to play today for a little while. Right off the bat, I like the updated visuals, so much better than last year's game. I still don't like the way the game animates though. The way the players move, the way they jump, the flailing arms just looks off. They really need to get that solved because it does hold the series back in my opinion.

I like the feel of the controls. There's a little delay it seems in some actions, the dribbling moves seem to be one of those areas that could use touching up, but overall it feels good.

I had a good, competitive game against the Thunder in the Finals preview so that's a plus. I won't pay full price for this title because it just isn't there yet, but I'll definitely pick this up either off a friend that doesn't want it any more if they get it or ebay or something if I find a good price. There's still a lot of work that needs to be done with this franchise, but after playing the demo here, I can at least say for the first time in a while that I feel better about the chances of next year's game being somewhere in the solid to really good range.

I agree with this 100%. And if the CPU wasn't so deadly with them it wouldn't make me question my wide open green icon great release misses on my O end.

I was playing sixers Suns last night and after Dragic made his 3rd three I doubled him. That didn't stop him. Didn't even make him give up the ball.

And why should it? When he can keep on knocking them down like he's alone in practice mode why quit shooting the 3?

I've gotten the hang of shooting . It's different . I prefer the releases this way. Maybe they could be a little slower but it feels good to master a shot

Had LeBron hit 3 3's in a row on me to seal a game last night....all heavily contested....felt so cheap to me...

I'll probably never be fond of release points that aren't based off the top of your jump....but it is what it is...I'm starting to get my Spurs shots down...

The logic behind makes and misses is what I'm concerned with...

All they have to do is smoothen out the game play and add add add new animations. That's why modes are going to be important in the future for Live
They need to switch up the controls. We are so limited in what we can do on offense and defense in this game compared to 2k

Playing Knicks (me) v Cavs game (cpu)...Tristan Thompson grabbed an offensive rebound, I got Dalembeet across to block the putback, Thompson took a few steps, looked around and passed out to Waiters in the corner.

He passed it to Kyrie who reset the play. Perfect second chance play.

In 2K Thompson would have gone right back up.Every single time. Even with my seven footer in his way. Completely scripted.

This game is so much more organic.

It has its flaws. But at least the CPU has the ability to break the script and play what it sees.

Okay, I don't know if you guys have noticed but the hands up motion is. TERRIBLE. Why the hell does it look like a bird flapping it's wings? NOBODY that I have ever played basketball with looks like that when they are guarding someone lol, I mean I seriously notice it everytime I put my hands up in the game and it is God awful.

I'm really having fun with the game. It really came out of no where for me as I had NO intention of picking this up over 2K but I'm glad I did.

Hope to see the Cavs blue alt's in the game soon.

CPU Cavs throwing the ball around like a hot potato at times...I don't see any of the 2 bigs posting up / everyone standing around stuff of a few days ago. Synergy is definitely kicking in and double teaming elite players on the drive really opens the game up.

I am genuinely surprised how much I am enjoying this game...a hell of a lot more than I anticipated.

What a horrible game. Ok the graphics are good, atmosphere is great, and I think this is why people rate is a good game. Take this away and everything else is putrid with all due respect.

The competition does every single aspect better

The courts look shiny and the net sounds are good. Ok so???

The animations are limited badly. I shot 9-12FG with Dirk Nowitzki and 7 of his animations in the post were EXACTLY THE SAME

Common now seriously. Its arcadey I get it. Some people love that piick up and play stuff but seriously this game is a mess.

It doesnt play anywhere near an NBA Game. Isnt that what its supposed to be. Dont waste your money. I already made that mistake and I regret it badly.

I sounds harsh however EA should be embarassed. Graphics can only give so much enjoyment.

Totally agree. It gets you pumped with the espn introduction and then you see the arenas and the crowd and you get real hyped. Then you start playing it and it just does not animate properly. Im not a fan of the button tap to shoot the ball or every single time you score the players are jumping up and down even if they dont do that in real life.

I did have fun with the game because i did not take it serious and the colors pop, but i felt like i was wasting my time when something else wAy better is out there.

I'm really happy with this game. Had an awesome game against the Bucks that I won 116-110 as the Hornets on All-star 12 minute quarters. Realistic stats across the board and several authentic runs by both teams throughout the game. This game plays a great game of b-ball this year. I'm having much more fun playing this game than the other one.

                            Oh and these shoes. Wow.

Fix some of these butchered player scans and it will be even better.

I'm still really enjoying this game, but there are two issues that are keeping it from being my primary basketball game this year. And that sucks, because I kind of want it to be because of what it does well.

Shooting jumpers isn't a whole lot of fun because of the quick releases. It's more of a "I'll just release it early and hope I get a good release" than it is skill. And it's not a matter of just being different than 2K, it's just really hard to get a "feel" for shooting in Live. I wish this is something they could patch, but I'm guessing it isn't.

The other is player differentiation. It's there, but not quite to the extent that it should be. There's still a bit too much generic-ness in there for my liking.

                                My impression is just short....

It's pretty simple. This game is what you put into it you can't rely on animations and the comfortability of those animations to make the game "simulation". The game is simple for the casual gamer to play "arcade" style but has an underlying depth to it that basically if you know the controls you basically control the game in its entirety.....it's built off the progression of skill. You make the game "simulation" if you want and enjoy it. That's what I got out of it....and if they stay up to date with tuning updates and patches then this game should be top notch....only certain **** bugs me only out of the fact of not touching NBA Live since like 09
