Ok now that we are discussing double taps, lets do double taps on the offensive end.
Double up - screen
Double right - post up
Double down - cut
Double left - iso
Now where double changes from single taps (which call the same plays) is that you get player icons.
Great.
My question is, then what? What I mean is this, I will double tap cut, then the icons appear, then I pick a player's icon and press it. Often they won't do anything. But when they do something there is a wrong mechanic in place, logic would say if you choose to cut icon B then they would automatically inherit the white pass icon. But they don't.
Because of this, if you have an SF down near a corner and your SG closer to you and you make your SF go on a cut, depending on where he goes makes it really difficult to focus the white passing icon on him. Because A) your SG is closer and B) It can be really tricky to assign the white passing icon to someone who is moving
The change I would suggest to EA is to just have the white passing icon stay assigned to the player you call a play for, for about 2 seconds. That would give you enough time to get the ball to them.
If somebody is good at running these icon based plays and has some tips fire them out here.
