During tip off, have you noticed that the ball always goes to the point guard in the far back court? This is not true to life. Usually, the ball falls to the player closest to the ball after the jump. Watched a few TV games to confirm this. That other forbidden name game has also recognized this and has implemented it correctly. Anyone agree?

Looks like ball somehow ghost through his hands...

Collision detection was surely lacking on that play LOL!

My impressions from the 6 hr trial is that it's a decent hoops game leaning more towards the arcade side. I like the updated graphics, espn presentation and the halftime show.

I don't like the quick releases, too much dead air in commentary, JVG said I called a timeout to help the defense even though I was on offense, imaginary force field out of bounds, the game felt a bit slow as if the players were jogging, even when I use turbo, and I saw too many made 3's. The players felt the same to me, Durant and Westbrook weren't dominating the ball like the should, both were just standing behind the 3pt line as if they were spot up jump shooters.

Maybe I'd get it if it were cheaper, but I can't justify paying $65 for it with all of these issues.

Hey nick, just curious as to why you say that Rising Star is broken? I didn't play 14 and don't have 15 yet, but I'm kinda interested in this mode, and would like to know what you (or others) think of it. And while I'm at it, can anyone answer these for me:

              - Is there no option to choose your jumpshot style? Freethrow routine and shot style?
              - Is there no option to choose your sig dribble styles?

Also, is there a practice/shootaround/scrimmage mode inside rising star?

Sorry, I posted these in the rising stars thread a couple of days ago but I don't think that thread gets a lot of views

Finished playing this morning...saw fewer big man post fades from 10-12 feet, and off the dribble breakdown attempts. I hope there is a way to patch their awareness for those situations when you inadvertently disengage from them on backdowns. They don't always register that you are no longer there, and it can cause a 3 second violation.

Im considering just usering a perimeter defender with no switching and using coaching settings for everyone else, because of this.. because it will happen a couple of times a game where you guess wrong on the post spin attempt and slide off of the player.

This style of play is the best IMO......

I've stated this over the years in Madden and NCAA Football why are people switching from defender to defender in games they play vs CPU .

Now I totally understand why it would be done vs another USER Player but against the CPU why not control one player defensively and stick with him throughout the play.

The reason behind this logic is because if your playing Football or Basketball in a team setting you can't control every other defender on the field/court.

The "No Switch Rule" has always been my favorite because if you believe in ratings have a IMPACT on gameplay then why not allow your CPU AI defenders take on the responsibility of defending on their own according to their ratings?

Sometimes you'll get a guy occasionally who will say the CPU is no challenge at all and that guy is basically taking control of his players and making every single play in the game putting the CPU at huge Disadvantage right from the start.

I can play no switch and I agree it helps with everything, BUT there is no way I could no switch with a perimeter player.

The CPU murders me on the glass. I am talking situations where I have 3 and they have 1 player, they get the rebound, it's programming, not me, because once I go no switch and stay with C or PF I win the battle on the boards.

There's no options to do anything but edit your shoes and accessories

I don't wear Jordan's so I don't know why they only let you choose Jordan shoes

You can't even edit your face which is mind boggling

Started a new one after the roster update and the coach doesn't make any sub's once you check into the game

I have played the rising star mode for the past week. It is nowhere near as deep as 2k's offering, but I am enjoying it. The lack of face editing does not bother me so much, but I can see how it would bother others. And how my performance is graded seems pretty reasonable and fair.

The issue bothering me is substitution patterns. For the first five games I would play most of the first half and the first half of the third quarter, and then I'm out the rest of the game. And I was having good games. I want to be in near the end of the game (that's the best part in my opinion).

The last game I played was better as I played most of the 4th quarter and was in at the end of the game. I am guessing this has to do with your clutch rating in that if it is too low, you will not be in near the end of the game. I raised it a little for the last game and played most of the 4th quarter.

The other issue is that I'm playing on the Knicks and Melo's substitution patters are inconsistent. There are times he sits out most of the 2nd quarter after having a huge first quarter. Or sits out a lot of the 3rd quarter.

Like I said, I am enjoying this game mode, but the above issues have bothered me somewhat.

My 2nd game with TOMBA Settings and OMG, had the best game everrrrr, game went to Triple OT, in 2OT 1 minute left down by 6 managed to come back magically, Dragic been on fire dropped 44 this game, Gerald Green with 20, Eric Bledsoe been ice cold only like 11 or 14 can't remember. Beat the Wiz in dynasty.

I have played this game extensively on the PS4, got a chance this morning to play it on the Xbox One, worlds apart. The Xbox One version is superior in every way, literally (graphically and gameplay), I was blown away the difference between the two, all of the replays and half time show worked as they should on the Xbox, players also looked more intricate, detailed and better colors, very surprised by that, though what really jumped out was the sound quality seemed to be of better fidelity. The Xbox One is the choice IMO for EA sports games over the PS4.

A lot of people will have your head on the chopping block with a statement like that but I agree totally with your post. Last year Live 14 played/looked better for some reason on Xbox One. Not sure what is up with that??
