Not everyone is Mark Jackson and Sam Cassell though...in fact they are part of the reason the 5 second back to the basket rule exists in the first place, lol...

You should be able to maintain a front facing dribble, just like 95% of the ball handlers in the NBA can...excessive reaching should have a consequence...

I'm fine with improving dribbling and nerfing on ball steals .

I'm just afraid of it getting overdone. I've played a few basketball games where the offensive player could basically dribble right through you without penalty or pressure Despite the ball being exposed

I like and respect that quote. I absolutely love strips in the paint with multiple people around however, When you are at the top of the key and the guy just Pick Pockets you dang near every position IS the issue I have..

I avoid this problem by using the post up "click of the stick" move with my PG/SG and if they are dumb enough to come all the way around me to try and pick it I just go to the basket. That stops those type of players pretty quickly for me...

Yeah. If people are complaining about 5-10 steals a game, that's actually pretty normal stats

Thank God for you line of thinking my man. People trying to cover up the obvious saying that one should know how to cover the ball etc is baffling. It's not like we're on an IGN forum guys.

Kawhi Leonard is one the premier on-ball defenders in the league and when he steals the ball on back-to-back possessions (like he did against Jeremy Lin last Friday) the whole NBA world goes bonkers.

So it shouldn't happen almost every single time down the floor in NBA Live 15. It doesn't happen in the other game. It used to happen in games like NBA In The Zone 2 for PS1 back in 97.

I'm all for precisely timed steals, not for mindless button mashing with a low risk/high reward dynamic.

                        Sounds right to me.

P.S. If you're coming down the court and trying to call plays while the defender is trying to swipe the ball, and you turn it over time and time again, that's the definition of user error. It's also the definition of insanity (doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results).

That's not the point. It's not like I'm NOT TRYING TO PROTECT THE BALL. The game should have proper contextual animations for the ball handler or a better foul ratio to keep those easy, randon, out of place, button mashing steals from happening.

I guess I've been "lucky" with with 12 or so online games on Xbox as I've not had the ball stolen from me that often. Just tired of playing against the Cavs...
