yep shelfed it after my last few online games... Its been fun, but I'm not seeing any gameplay changes that will keep it interesting for me. Over 200 games online and it plays exactly the same since release IMO. I don't believe in the whole synergy concept, and the CPU AI doesn't help me in that regard. I'll be lurking the threads waiting for a new patch but we are basically 7-8 months from a new release. They need to get to work on Live 16.

did the latest legend preview (which is on superstar) crash boards/ Fast tempo. and my shots were still falling unlike b4. ima try to get some pics of me playing on slow and me playing on fast. i think this really has something to do with the success rate. cause since i switched its been day and night....Comment

Re: this game is about to find it self on a shelf for a while.
I still like the game, but I hate that I can't take any outside shots. When I play the CPU in LUT (mainly what I do) I have to drive to the basket every play, and even then I miss layups that I shouldn't. I don't expect to make everything, but the CPU often does, and that's the problem. If the game is close and I start taking 3's, I just put myself in a hole because the CPU will score after every one of my missed shots. So it's back to driving the lane again, over and over.
There is a lot I like about this game, but we need to be able to shoot from the outside with a little more realism.Comment

Re: this game is about to find it self on a shelf for a while.
I had a half tonight, just to see if anything had improved.
Played the Heat/Blazers matchup and the Blazers just ran post play after post play nearly every time down the court. What made me turn it off straight away was they were all for Lopez.
Forget thr mid range game and everything else wrong, teams and players still don't play like themselves. I said at release but this is the most generic game of basketball we've seen.Comment

Re: this game is about to find it self on a shelf for a while.
I played a game last night for lols and I played the pelicans. No play was ran for Anthony davis. I don't recall him getting the ball unless it was a rebound, and he had like 0 points. Asik was the guy scoring for them. I was dying of laughterI had a half tonight, just to see if anything had improved.

Re: this game is about to find it self on a shelf for a while.
honestly, I dont see too much of the wrong people shooting.
What I find the most frustrating is that there arent enough creative ways to generate a shot when youre either up against the shot clock, or need something in a hurry. If whatever you are running doesnt work perfectly on a given trip, youre pretty much screwedComment

Re: this game is about to find it self on a shelf for a while.
I picked this game up (digitally) when it was put up on sale through the Xbox store for like $9. Been playing it for a couple weeks now. I can't really compare it to another basketball game since the last one I played was Tecmo Super NBA basketball back in '93.
Honestly with the game only being 3 months old and selling for as low as it was I was thinking this was going to be a hack game but to my surprise I really enjoy it and have caught myself staying up almost all night, which isn't good when you have a 5 a.m. wake up call. I'm currently 10 - 7 with my Charlotte Hornets dynasty (haven't tried LUT yet and doubt I will). I have a few issues which I will address below:
3 pointers: I can barely hit these to save my life. My stats will always read something like 1 - 23 or 1 - 15. When I have guys open (who are good long range shooters) they still brick or even air ball. Conversely, the CPU drains them all day even when contested. I have lost a couple close games because it's gone 3 point crazy and made them even when my defender is all over the shooter.
Glitches: There is one glitch in particular that is just annoying me. Its after I attempt a 3 pointer and miss. If the opposing team rebounds it, the shooter who missed is teleported to the goal (where they hang briefly as if a dunk was attempted) which gives the opposing team an easy bucket, sometimes a three. I've only seen it happen when I miss a three, never with the CPU.
Shooting: In general I can't make mid range shots or any other shot unless I'm literally underneath the basket. 96% of my points are in the paint for that reason. I'm talking open shots here and even then with gimme shots I still miss. Free throws used to be easy and now players who were hitting them easy are struggling.
However I digress. I'm enjoying the game eventhough there are some aspects of the game I don't like, however I will say this game hasn't frustrated me to the point where I smashed controllers like I did (a lot) with NCAA Football 14 when I had my 360.Last edited by Mr_Touchdown_USA; 03-20-2015, 11:27 AM.Comment

* Getting your player set and not moving is a big deal, unless that player it great at taking shots on the run.
* Ball movement is better than dribbling and shooting off the dribble, as most times your players are set
* The shot release changes when you are moving versus being set. It's a much quicker release when you are on the run. If you're set, it's a more forgiving release.
I routinely shoot 40%+ and has never been an issue, even through all the patches and changes. Hope it helps you some. :-)Last edited by dasunsrule32; 03-21-2015, 08:09 PM.Comment

Re: this game is about to find it self on a shelf for a while.
I played this game yesterday and it's just more of the same.
You have to be dead wide open just to hit a shot.
It's laughable.
And it's also a shame because the game could be somewhat fun.
This game is so far behind from where an authentic basketball game should be.
And in their pride, they haven't reached out to the proper community heads who could actually help them in the areas where they struggle.
Just terrible.Comment

Honestly they can reach to a million community heads if they don't have the right game developers in place does it really matter.I played this game yesterday and it's just more of the same.

Re: this game is about to find it self on a shelf for a while.
Just saw my first instance of a held ball at the end of regulation like Live 14.....
Played today's Heat/Thunder match up and the Heat were down 3 at the end of the game...Dwayne Wade went into a post up animation with :20 left on the game clock and never came out of it...
Just posting so the dev's know there's still a trace of it in the game...Comment

I really need to know what you are doing, because creating space for a jumper is probably the hardest thing for me to pull off in this game. All I can do is call quick screens.Comment

You're probably releasing the shot too earlyComment

Re: this game is about to find it self on a shelf for a while.
Running pick and rolls, screen plays, etc. Make sure to hit quick. Call team specific plays as well. Score in transition as well, you can get a lot of threes that way.
A little hint, splitting the double team will get you open for sweet midrange jump shots. :-)Comment
