They aren't even promoting the game in Canada. I remember they didn't even receive any copies at eb games last year so I had to go to Walmart

Ya same for me, it was hilarious. All the employees were so confused and they were like " has it even come out yet?" Then another guy was like " I thought they cancelled it?!?"

I don't think that's a bad business practice at all. This is like if you went to Best Buy and were going to buy a ****ty TV that's going to blow up in your living room after it's left on for more than an hour but the employee tells you not to buy it and tries to get you to buy the better quality TV that's the same price and you start calling out Best Buy for bad business.

The idea behind Gamestop is that it's a place for gamers, guys that like playing games work there and they can give their opinions on what's a good game and what's a ****ty game. Doesn't mean they're opinions are right or wrong. Gamestop has plenty of **** wrong with it to bag on them for, going after them for some sort of bias against NBA Live because an employee working in the store is in their mind trying to help you not waste your money on a bad game is ridiculous even for NBA Live forum standards.

Eh, I think a better comparison would be to a movie. Just because The Dark Knight is better than Man of Steel doesn't mean I need to be convinced to buy The Dark Knight lol. I don't agree with the overall point of the thread, but I guess what I'm saying is in my situation the guy knew that I wasn't making an uninformed decision. He knew, that I knew, that I wanted to preorder Live 15 lol. Like I said, the success of the other game is just THAT influential, that even non sports guys are like "........but are you sure?" I could see it happening if he was helping a parent, but in my situation it just felt kinda weird.

Same scenario today, I go in to trade some games toward madden and the guy gets to my NBA live 15 and looks up at me "aw man, I'm sorry you bought this" mind you he looks like the last person you'd see playing a basketball title lol

So my trade in credit covers madden and I got a little left over he asks what I want to do with that and I told him add it to my Live 16 reservation [emoji41]

I've had a Gamestop employee tell me 2K was better than Live. I've have a Gamestop employee try and give me a used game when I paid for a new one. Ive had an employee try and hide the fact I had money on my account when purchasing a game.

I've also had a Gamestop employee tell me "Hadn't seen you here in a while" problem solved.

Man I walked into GameStop and bought a new controller with some store credit....I had about $6.00 left and they asked me if I wanted to preorder anything...

I looked through the list and I said "I'll go ahead and preorder NBA Live"

He said "Ok" finished my preorder and gave me my receipt. I then left the store and went home.

WTF MAN!

I think we all can see that every store in general,it doesn't matter if they sell; Games, TV's, or Cars, they will have some employees that will use their own opinions when selling a consumer a product.

I guess I shouldn't have singled out Gamestop, when I get it every time I buy something FSU related.

I wouldn't say anti EA because they definitely shove Madden down my throat every single time I go there.


For example I went in to pre order the 1TB Xbox One that comes with Madden 16, and pre order a few other games Like Metal Gear Solid, and like clock work the guy still asked me if I wanted to pre order Madden, and I was like "doesn't it come with the Xbox"??? He was like "oh yea I am just so used to asking that to any customer that pre orders games".


Never once did he mention NBA Live though, so they must have a list of games that they must mention when talking about pre ordering.

Some of you guys go to crappy Game Stops. Everyone at my local Game Stop(except the manager) is a gamer, from MMOs to Sports, they're all usually helpful. I've got their schedules(kinda like a stalker) kinda memorized so I know when to hit the place up depending on which type of game I want to buy.

I came in asking about 2K16 and the guy kept telling to get Live as well, I tell him I'll wait til I play the demo to decide, he tells me he'll see me at the Live release. Like damn, how do you know I'll enjoy the demo? Turns out, the dude is a huge sports gamer, if a sport has/had more than one title on the market he would buy each one of them just so he wouldn't get burnt out on one.

Many people are used to talking down/ignoring the NBA Live series, I hope Live 16 changes that. NBA Live could use a little more advertising love on OS too, as it isn't even properly represented on its own forum. Click on Madden anything you get Madden content in the 4 illustrated main topics at the top of the Madden main page. The same is true when selecting the EA Hockey, NBA 2K15, and the Show 15 main pages. Click on LIVE 15 main page, and it displays NBA 2K15 content at the top.
