After playing Live again
I've actually changed my mind about canceling my pre-order. There's enough in the game that makes it refreshing to play for a change of pace. Not to mention, the modes and online work like they're supposed to. So I guess I'll be back to having two basketball games to play this year.

Re: After playing Live again
I thought about not purchasing the game this year. But after playing some tough head to head match ups with my son, I changed my mind and preordered. My son got me hooked. I just wish they tightened up the defense online though. It is way to easy to drive down the lane all game. -

Re: After playing Live again
Can't lose with two games to play, 2k is beast but I couldn't go without playing live. If I could edit player I'd play live more tbh. But with this year sports games you can't lose, Fifa might be the only title that don't get much luv from me and Fifa is beast!

Re: After playing Live again
Truthfully, the only reason to not get both this year is if you're cash strapped and this thinking has not changed after playing both a good amount now. Fingers X'd that they have or will be adjusting defense for the game, especially online. As is, you can't body a player unless theyre driving, etc. Optimistic for offline also especially after hearing defensive improvements from the latest content update.Comment

Re: After playing Live again
After this big patch/update the other day, I feel the game is more enjoyable now. Can't put my hand on what, but it feels better and I'm glad I kept my preorder. Enjoying my 10 hour trial through EA access. Rosters are updated too, that's nice.Comment

Re: After playing Live again
Thanks for the update, this sounds promising. I see you are a Cavs fan, can you confirm if Richard Jefferson and Sasha Khan are presently on the team? Also, I'm assuming Tristan Thompson is out due to current contract negotiations right? What other improvements are notable? Perimeter and inside defense? More consistent mid range shooting? How about the post, anything new here in regards to animations? I agree with your assessment that some moves can be too effective. I believe they should tone down that burst speed animation. It can be overpowering at times and is an easy way to blow by a cpu defender. Have you noticed any improvements to this?Last edited by Calvenn; 09-28-2015, 11:49 AM.Comment

Re: After playing Live again
I kinda feel the same way. I have from day one said I'm purchasing this on release, which I still am. Can't wait for midnight. I did purchase the other game too, and I enjoy it. There is just something about LIVE that's keeps me coming back all the time. Maybe it's just hard convincing myself that I like LIVE better. I will day from Plauing both I do think live supports the better graphics and this may be not mean a lot to others. For me always being a graphics where, I just think LIVE nailed players faces and bodies and the courts oh the courts feel and look amazing. Have both is a plus. I guess I will play the one I like more. This is where buying digital sux lol.. Anyway can't wait for tonight.

Re: After playing Live again
NBA Live is like that girl you're afraid to like because you think your boys will clown you, but you still find her attractive. It's just something about her. That's how I feel about this game.
I can't put my finger on it, but this game is addicting. I don't know if it's because it's refreshing to play another basketball game or if it just has that "fun" factor. It might be both. I felt that way with NBA Live 10. It's definitely not Sim, but it shares some elements of that with a mix of arcade. I'm hoping the main patch will change that. This game feels more intense when I'm playing against a friend or another user. Lack of animations, content, depth, polishing, editing and direction is holding this game back.Comment

This last update made the game much more enjoyable. It's great on both sides. Too bad the reviews were pre patch. They are missing out.
Better defense in the paint and yes, the overpowering speed to the basket is much more balanced. The cheese with the euro step being overpowered is much more realistic. There's a better flow overall. Nice movement and it's fun playing the CPU now. Before the gameplay patch I really only enjoyed it playing a friend. Now CPU seems to be catching on.
I didn't see Jefferson yet but Khan is a definite yes. Hope to see Thompson soon!!Comment

I feel this way too. I played 2 hours tonight and felt like 2 minutes. There's lots of goodness going on.Comment
