Originally posted by JasonLinThat makes me really happy! Last year I just couldn't play 2004 on PS2 and XBOX. I tried Gamecube version on my friend's cube and there is no slow down in GC version, which i think should be the best console version.
I am going to get NBA Live 2005 and PSTWO(not PS2), that would be really cool..Comment

Well the game won't be any good if the AI sucks. I need to know how good the AI is.Comment

Re: Live '05 Beta discussion
There is still some slowdown, but it’s mostly during cut scenes. I have seen more slowdown on the press box view than on any other view.
That officially books a PC version for me.
Why do this to XBOX users? again and again?
as little as it may be I bet it is NON apparent AT ALL on the ps2 version.Comment

YUP! THat seals the deal for me 2 bud. I've been debating for weeks now on what version to get ...ps2 or xbox??? I guess know it's pretty clear!!
Eventhough the ps2 had "slow down" as well in 2004, it wasn't as nearly as bad as the xbox version.
This is why the game runs kinda laggy online too. It's because the slowdown is only enhanched that much more when you go online. I bet if the game ran completely smooth. The online experience would be alot better......
dah well.Comment

Re: Live '05 Beta discussion
As I suspected when the screen was posted showing the Clips dealing a first rounder (eventually the 7th pick) for Dion frickin Glover, Steve has confirmed the AI does some screwy trades for picks.
I know someone's kneejerk reaction is going to be "bah it's no big deal", but whatever it's still going to be lame. Sure, I'll resist the temptation to trade Dion Glover for a lottery pick, but I'll be frustrated as hell when the AI teams that shouldn't be improving through the lottery are by trading the Glovers of the league, while the teams that should improve through the draft like the Clips get crappier. Bugger.Comment

The only thing I am concerned about so far is the offensive plays. I am not seeing much screening and stuff off the ball.Comment

Re: Live '05 Beta discussion
Remember guys, this is Beta. I've had games w/ framerate problems w/ Beta, only to get the retail version w/ no framerate problems and vice versa. Read the impressions later this week from other people that have the retail version, about the framerate problems, before going bananas about it.Comment
